Laggy killers still get the priority, this is not only for vpn
I was the Steve of this clip. For when I was injured in my game, I was almost vaulting the fence, and I saw how the killer was doing the after-hit animation and I didn't even lag my character, neither I had the latency icon of the corner, but in this clip you can see how the killer lags so hard, maybe manually because there were more unfair hits during the match, and still registers my hits, and just because the killer has the priority I can get hit even if I'm not laggy and I'm at the other side of the map. The register of the hits should be changed to the one with better ping, because dedicated server can already collect info, lets let them collect ping too, and define the priority.

As a killer, I have started backing out of matches when I see (a) survivor(s) potentially using a VPN. After I had a match as Nurse where a survivor was just blinking around corners (pun intended), I've started taking more time to look at survivors' profiles before a match starts. I guess with that I can also prepare myself mentally for SWF teams based on lists of friends.

did you report this guy? sure it's lag but it is using lag to 100% intentionally circumvent the game rules

No, the killer should ALWAYS be in priority. It would be absolutely stupid if a killer swung at a survivor and their weapon WENT THROUGH the survivor but it didn't register a hit.

there is no real proof that he lagswitched in that moment, and I would have saved a clip of my view, but I have an error in my nvidia shadowplay and it doesn't let me activate it ever again.

This argument is stupid. You're bassically agree with lagswitchers and vpn killers then after saying this. If someone has a ######### internet, they don't deserve the hit because they didn't even reach the survivor as how it was suposed.
Isn't it more stupid how he hitted me when I really was meters and meters away?

just because you report it doesn't mean that proof isn't there. they can still get the logs of the match but you do have to send the first report on the scoreboard and then send the second report through the ticket system, pointing them to that video. they then will look into it and take action if needed. doesn't mean you know they did it or not, but let the dev team make the decision as they have access to data you do not.

I lost my hope already on reporting since it takes a month to answer me but sometimes they don't even register any view in the video I send them. So I mostly care ######### on reporting, but yeah, maybe I should have done that, but for when I found the part of the vod where he hitted me to check it, the server closed the match, and if that happens, you bassically can't report.

not true what so ever. the scoreboard is still available to interact with including getting their steam information. and the second report uses web functionality not ingame so if you can't get there in time to do the thumbs up or down you can STILL make that ticket as well. just tell them what happened. yes it takes them time to wade through the many reports they are getting but you should still be able to. I report anyone this way when I see it, doesn't mean they'll be banned but it'll be there.

When server closes it literally doesn't register, you can even do it a 100 of times it just won't get marked as reported

But it’s perfectly fine for killers to hit air and get a down XD

On their screen they're not hitting air. This is literally the exact reason the devs stated why killer is prioritized over survivor. It's disheartening to "hit" a survivor but not actually hit.
No i don't condone lagswitching and VPN uses for anyone saying that, that's an entire different ballpark lol.

They are on survivor's.

I'm just providing the dev response, I'd rather a survivor get hit a few extra meters away than for a killer to hit a survivor but not actually hit.

We are not talking about how it looks for the killer. We are talking about how it really should be as how it really is for the ones with better internet. It's just not fair that if either the survivor or the killer lags, it's always good for the killer, and thks should be counted as exploitable.

Yes again, you're agree with bad internet killers having advantage.
1 -
you still could atleast submit the ticket which is accessed from the help and tutorials section

I agree that giving The Killer the advantage is painful but it does make the most sense as many games favor the hit. It's just not fun for the Survivor, and servers favor laggy Killers isn't ideal. The latency changes to minimize the desync between Killer and Survivor can't come soon enough. Hopefully it doesn't take years to implement.
