Feng Min: Age, gaming and abduction

This is going to be an interesting post to roughly calculate not only Min's gaming career and date of abduction but her age as well.

Based off her main event outfit specifically the Jersey we know that she has a least being with Laser bear since 2012 as this is the earliest time we've known as she's been in a tournament as one of them.

We also know no by her default outfit and victory Polo that she won her 2016 tournament meaning losing events and spiralling into depression happened after 2016.

This would mean until we get confirmation otherwise with another cosmetic or an archives release she was part of Laser bear for four years. Adding a couple of months for before she was discovered as well as between her spiral and abduction. It's safe to say that her gaming career probably amounted to about 5 years.

Depending on the date of the 2016 tournament and how quickly things spiralled afterwards this would roughly put her abduction at late 2016 to early 2017.

This would roughly putting a stop her aging as it seems that the entity's realm doesn't allow you to age.

With her possible abduction and gaming career noted now let's try to figure out her age. This is going to be a long one

Roughly speaking we know from Benedict Baker that Min is described as a young woman meaning she is probably in her early to Mid 20s.

A lot of people would mention that in her backstory it said that she went to bars however in China the drinking age is 18 so this really doesn't help out that much. Especially considering the potential drinking happened 4 years after joining Laser bear. So if she joined at 14 she would still be eligible to drink by the time her depression hit

So to get a good grasp on her age we would roughly have to figure out what age she joined Laser bear then add 4 years and a couple months for the eventual spiral and her initial discovery

This is a little difficult to predict as the average in joining age for most esports teams tends to be around 16 to 24.

"They finally decided to pull the plug and force Feng Min to put more efforts into her studies.

She felt smothered by her parents who refused to see the potential of a future in games, so she left home and spent her time in internet cafes and LAN parties where the old rules didn't apply." 

Since Min is Chinese and the relative school leaving age is 18 coupled with the fact that her parents tried to force her into studies. We know that she couldn't have left home when she was older than 18 as she would have been done with school.

Meaning Miss Feng was probably around 16 to 17 when she left home

Being generous and adding a couple months before she got picked up by Laser bear would probably mean that she got recruited around the age of 17 to 18.

As I've mentioned above she roughly spent around 4 years as part of the team before she was abducted add that to the current age we have now.

This would mean Feng Min was 21-22 before her abduction due to the fact that she got abducted during her spiral into self-destruction and depression we could probably lock her relative final age 21-23

Keep in mind all of this is speculation and with the new release of lore through cosmetics and the archives this could very easily change.

So the final conclusion and a nice little hallmark for people who didn't want to read the entire thing.

1) Feng Min was most likely abducted around the age of 21 to 23

2) Feng Min probably joined Laser bear at 17 to 18

3) Min's gaming career probably lasted around 5 years before she was abducted. 4 years with Laser bear and few months before.

4) She was most likely abducted in late 2016 or in failing that early 2017

I'd say this is pretty well done. Min's probably the only original Survivor that we have actual dates for, so it's actually possible to do this.

Another thing... congratulations on using her name correctly (except for one line, but it's a breath of fresh air compared to everyone else).

You also have two 2)s in the conclusion, but that's just me nitpicking on a well done analysis at this point.

Min is my favourite character so I hope I did her justice. Hopefully we get a nice Juicy archives for her.
