One rarity of items, but free.

What if we made the items one rarity and interchangeable every match? This is the only justification for removing survivors keeping their addons after escaping. It would make survivors have more chances to get addons for these items in bloodwebs. Tell me how you guys feel about it.

Well, as great an idea as that is, it would mean survivors could always bring an item into a match without fear of them losing it. Bringing an item is incredibly useful, even brown ones.

A brown medkit is a full healthstate, and a brown toolbox still shaves valuable time off that generator, plus there would have to be base items for flashlights and maps, which dont have brown versions

Im my opinion, items are a risk/reward, bring an incredibly useful item, at the risk of losing it on death, and make that item even more powerful with single use addons. I don't believe the devs want players to always bring addons every match, as at base alot of the items dont 100% need them to be useful

There is also multiple ways of getting items already, with the bloodweb and chests, so if you start to run out, enter matches without an item and try to loot one instead, or use one that are supplied in abundance from the bloodweb

Or just let survivors keep addons again. There are so many reasons for this and few against:

    1. Survivors get less BP than killers, addons/items (they also need items) are, as such, obtained in smaller amounts.
    2. Survivor has FAR more addons than killers to compete with. Alongside the items which they also have, getting the addons you actually want on survivor is far more expensive than on killer (doesn't help that, again, they get less BP).
    3. Survivor addons are far less powerful than killer addons in general, and any survivor addon with strength to it is ALREADY consumed upon use.

The only reason I can think of against is to bring it "consistent" with killer. No one was complaining about brown-green survivor addons except toolboxes which are already tweaked.

Yeah if a survivor has add ons and they escape with the item. Sounds like they should keep them, for doing a good enough job of escaping. Which they currently can do but that takes owning the right dlc and having unlock ace in the hole for your character of choice. Which might be a perk slot you want for something else. Along with possibly having to spend alot of blood points just to get tier one of the perk. Let alone if you want tier three, which might take even more blood points. Which heck, i would say everyone could use a bit more blood points in general, be they survivor or killer alike.

Which if they are going to keep the current system of losing add ons, even if you escape, if you don't have ace in the hole. Well they might want to boost the number of chests in a match from three to say four. One for each survivor or maybe a slight buff to plunderers, making it add one more chest to the map but doesn't stack with other survivors using plunder. So even if all survivors take plunderers, it still only adds one more chest to the map. Of course just throwing random ideas out here off the top of my head. So might just be awful ideas really.

All these ideas just force survivors who want to use items into Ace in the Hole, and perhaps plunderer's with your idea. BHVR why. :(

Yeah which now that you pointed that out, that would be one or two perk slots which could be used for something else. Like say burrow time, dead hard or something else that takes your fancy. Which can be alot to ask just to keep your add ons.

Wish i knew. Since i have no idea why the change was made. Would be interesting to know the logic behind it. Since it does make the game more grindly for survivors who like to use items. Which is why a blood point boost might be needed. Like say to daily rituals, make them more rewarding and hand out more blood points. That or just simply let survivors keep adds on if they escape, since well if they escape. It sounds like they earned the right to keep the add ons by doing a good job at staying alive.

You gotta play killer if you want BP at an acceptable rate. Keep in mind you now need Ace and WGLF for any sort of BP management as survivor and now you have 2 perk slots for use.

I like how the item system works right now. Although, I would be down if they added a tier of items below common that were very weak but had infinite uses. These items would be like:

Decrepit toolbox - 12 charges, +25% increased repair speed, unlocks the sabotage action, slightly decreased sabotage speed, same sabotage penalty as all other toolboxes.

Scratched Aid-kit - 16 charges, unlocks the self-healing action, slightly decreased self-healing speed.

Torn Map - 5 seconds of use, unlocks the ability to track generators within a range of 8 meters.

I'd also like to see them add similar infinite addons for these items and each killer's power. Honestly one of my most wanted additions

Yeah since normally everything you do as a killer, leads to you filling up one of the blood points. Use your power? Get blood points. Chase a survivor blood points, hit them or down them, blood points. Hook them? Blood points. It all fits together more nicely, since you are going to be doing all of that anyway. With it all relaying on you and no need for anyone else.

While as a survivor, you can be going around getting the gens done. While your team mates loop the killer. While coming out with few blood points, due to not interacting with the killer very much. Due to slamming gens, while only maybe getting a heal or two in here and there. With survival being hard to get points in. That and someone else might of gotten the unhooks before you. Leading to there simply be factors outside of your control that will effect your blood points in a negative way.
