Will there be a way to earn Auric cells for free?

Other games have been giving out premium currencies as far as I remember. For example, in Paladins free battle pass route, they basically hand out enough premium currencies for you to unlock the premium battle pass route if you manage to unlock all the rewards on the battle pass. So why can't Dead by Daylight do that too? (Paladins is a free game too).

Maybe getting 20 Auric Cells for 7 days consecutive log ins

Or getting 5 Auric Cells for completing daily rituals

What's really holding DBD back from handing out free Auric cells besides the company being scared to lose a little profit?

    I do want to see BHVR implement more rewards in the game (the rift) though first thing I'd like to see would be iri shards

    If they at least gave us more iri shards, I'd be happy.

    Yeah, the model you describe I have only seen in free to play games.

    I believe greed would be the only thing blocking it in paid titles.

    I wish I could sell all my useless items for 1 AC each before prestiging - maybe an option to convert all remaining items once you have confirmed prestige? Haha, I won't be holding my breath on either.
