Dedicated servers being configured correctly when?

As much as I love the BHVR stream on the basics of what the killer sees and what the survivor sees, I fail to see where they admit their configuration is wrong.

Dedicated lobbies, anti cheating, stats logging, DC banning, etc

Game play should not I repeat not be going to the dedicated servers or man in the middle which is causing more lag.

Here is killer sided lag being hit through: https://youtu.be/vsnbTv8RSlw

Here is survivor sided lag with grabs: https://youtu.be/9uSa11CQqrM

Can BHVR please configure their servers and clients so that we can actually have a fair game?

Could I ask how are Xbox players finding it?

  • I have had dedicated servers for a day and i already want peer to peer back.

Actually i've been playing for the past 5 hours and i haven't had a single problem on the xbox, smooth, no lag or stuff like that.

I should have asked, are you playing killer or survivor when you do or don't have issues

I'm on PS4 and I'm having no troubles with the servers playing either side.

I'm not even sure at least for me that the "man in the middle" introduces more lag. In my case, my ping to server is 30-35. If the other players have a similar ping, then it's even less overall than before - in P2P the lowest ping I could get to other players was around 95.

If anything might be badly configured then it's that the killer hit registration happens locally on the killer's machine. They said on stream they absolutely do want the killer to hit if on his screen it looks like a hit, but that just rewards killers with bad internet. I always thought that the point of a dedicated server would be to be the "game master" who e.g. decides whether something hits, so that the player with the better internet would have the advantage in case of doubt, which would seem actually more fair to me. Sadly they never talked about why they don't do it this way (there may be a reason I'm missing).

But as I said, I have not have any really bad cases myself that were worse than my P2P experience (where rubberbanding and spicy lag occurred from time to time).

Its decent. Dead hard is working perfectly and i havent been hit after vaulting but i had a huntress whos hatchet hit me when i was behind a wall. I only played 6 games of survivor today so i could just be lucky, as killer its fine except i had a bill start slowly flying up
