Are Killers dead in this game?
My Que time for a killer is instant, my Que time for a survivor takes 10 minutes, sometimes longer

What rank and platform are you on? My survivor queue times are generally between 2 and 4 minutes, at least I'm guessing, and my killer queue times are almost always less than a minute, often quite instant.
At red ranks there seems to be a bit of a shortage of killer players, at least during some times of the day, although it has gotten better again, and I'm very hopeful the upcoming patch with the changes to the survivor sided maps will balance out queue times more.

So you're saying you get killers instantly and survivors take forever to join? Contradicting your headline but even if so it could be for multiple reasons but wouldnt mean killers just dead because of that lol....ugh

purple ranks kills, newbie survivor. I'm getting tired of getting stomped on by SWF seal team 6, so lately I've been trying survivor but Que is bad compared to other games.

It means if I'm getting instant Que's as a killer then there must be a shortage of killers,, no?

PS4 queue times for solo survivor is 10 minutes +.
There is a severe lack of killers on PS4.
Let me give you an example.
Sometimes I don't want to go against Sweaty SWF teams, so I hop on PC and queue up as killer where there's a BIT more balance in the Matchmaking system.

Thanks, that sucks though. It's rough to play against all red survivor teams. The skill gap is a huge jump, I do reasonable when faced against people my own rank, but a higher 8+ ranks sometimes is brutal. Maybe that's why no one wants to play killer.

Hmm yeah PS4 seems to be hit harder by this than PC. Queue times on pc seem to be more balanced, though even on pc there still seems to be a shortage of killers. Like I said though, the map changes will hopefully help with this problem, and the increased controller sensitivity of the next patch will probably also help get more players to play killer on console, I would hope.

Maybe ill check this out on steam, kind of hesitant though, considering just moving on from this game. Playing survivor doesn't seem that appealing to me and I shouldn't be in a position to feel like I need to play survivor to enjoy this game, but damn I'm kind of embarrassed to say this, but playing killer on this game makes you feel like you're just get punked over and over again, like school yard bullying haha

yea man and one hand it's like, well I'll just practice and get better- stop whining, it's a competitive multiplayer game, but on the hand I'm sitting here like, but at what cost, games are supposed to be fun right?

I'm a Rank 1 killer on PS4 but I've left it because PC is a bit better on queue times for both sides, so my rank dropped.
I can't imagine, nor I do not want to imagine what less experienced killers have to go through when facing these Red Rank teams.
And I agree with you, it's a reason why no one wants to play killer.

Honestly as a killer main,i'm tired getting insulted and trashed in every post game chat for just playing the game,I win,they trashtalk,I lose,they trashtalk,its always the same.Its just sad.

In europe, it really depends on day and time. Early in the day, its instant survivor lobbys for me, but longer killer lobbys. In the evening, the opposite is true.
That said, i can only play early because i stay at home at the moment, which i usually don´t do.

There are a few killers, everyone prefer to play as survivor, don't worry survivors have more advantages to win

Ok that's what I thought but I agree that premade would ruin the game but when its solo it's quite the opposite and how the games intended. If the game didnt force rank I dont think this would be as big of problem.

If you have the time, you can usually play survivor early in the day until early afternoon. The late afternoon/evening is usually when the stronger SWF groups are playing, and a lot of killer players are aware of that and prefer to not play at that time of the day.

Played three matches yesterday as survivor. Went against a freddy, pig and doctor. Rank Reset and matchmaking is really busted.
Freddy and Pig struggled to catch anyone so they DC but the doctor stuck by and played their best despite everyone escaping.

It is mostly affected by the time you are playing. In the evening, when I play SWF with a friend, I have Lobby times of around 3 minutes. If I play Solo during the Day, my Queues are instant.
Killer in the evening is instant, but until Afternoon, it takes like 2-5 minutes to find a game.
(Those are my usual waiting times, at least Killer is faster right now, probably because many people are at home. But Survivor is still pretty fast during the day)
