Mori's and Keys are STUPID
I think that moris and keys are very bad for the game as they are both just easy way outs. I don't think that either of them should be removed from the game but I think that both should be nerfed. First of all for moris, I think that you should be able to Mori the last survivor, or a survivor that has been hooked twice because a Mori after the first hook is basically just putting you on the second stage right away, plus we have the a hole killers who just tunnel and camp and Mori off first hook which makes the experience so boring. Now for keys, I think that you should only be able to escape through the hatch with a key if you are the last survivor because it is practically impossible to escape if you are the only survivor left and the killer closes the hatch. These are just my thoughts and I'm sure that there are better ways to nerf these two so just let me hear what you think.

The shouldnโt be removed, but maybe reworked. Thereโs no need for it to be removed, so all I have to say if you deal with a hatch camper with a key or a killer with a mori is deal with it and move on to the next match, you know thereโs more then 1 match?

The other day I had a SWF with a key who all escaped through the hatch with a key except for the one I killed. Afterwards they called me trash even though they were all pretty awful at looping and they were all dead on hook with two gens left when they escaped. Keys are stupid.
5 -
Keys should only be able to open the hatch if its been closed.
Moris should only kill after everyone has been hooked once.
3 -
They could have only had one gen left to do if three escaped through the hatch. Which means they did 80% of the work to escape. Not saying it doesn't feel unfair, but compared to a mori, they did more work than the 30% a killer has to do. And people who are post-game ######### are going to be ######### whether they have keys or not.

Agreed <3

Never said they should be removed, said they should be reworked. And yes, I know there's more than one match. Not sure if you were trying to be an ######### on this one or not but thanks for the response. <3

I like the key idea, but not sure about the Mori idea. While it would stop tunnelling more, I feel like it still takes a hook stage away from you and basically sends you to second stage regardless. Thanks for the response though...<3

Ummm your story has a loop hole. You say you killed 1 survivor and 3 escaped with only 2 gens left. That's impossible. They wouldn't have been able to leave with 2 gens left. They would've have to do another gen before leaving through hatch.
3 -
It might have been 1 gen left, I don't remember all that well. And I'm pretty sure the hatch spawns at two gens with three people left.
1 -
(Number of living Survivors) + 1 = Gens that need to be done for the hatch to spawn.
So 4 Gens need to be done if 3 Survivors are remaining.

Thanks for clarifying, I'm never sure. So yeah, one gen left and they all escaped through the hatch.

Mories counter keys, and vice versa. Leave em alone or rework both.
I'd be okay with cypress being basekit, ivory being ultra rare, and ebony being gone, or used inly after second hook.
Purple key lets one person use the hatch, pink, maybe 2 people.

Id be fine with Key only working for the person who has the key. Mori i'd be fine with ivory and cypress. Im not sure how you could really balance the Ebony.

I always hated both,with a burning passion.
2 -
The hatch spawns at 1 gen with 3 people left, or 2 gens with 2 people left, or 0 gens with 4 people left. So it was probably 1 gen left.

I think both should be reworked. I really like the rework that you came up with. Thanks for the response! <3

I agree, maybe you could just take the ebony away, or you can make it so that you can Mori after everyone has been hooked once because that would stop tunnelling and would make the game way more interesting imo, or you could make it so that you have to be hooked twice before being Mori'd which I personally don't really like bc that would make tunnelling worse. Thanks for the response! <3

Same here๐

Cypress being basekit would suck, bad. End game is already like an 80/20 death sentence for the last survivor. Being mori'd for simply being last alive would just add insult to injury. Especially if it was your first time being caught. I'm feeling salty just thinking about it. ๐

Yep. I despise them both, never use them. I wouldn't care if they both got removed from the game entirely but I know that's not going to happen.
1 -
Wait...so...assuming there's 2 people left and 3 gens done...and you escape through the hatch with a key...now there's only 1 survivor on the map...does the hatch re-open? LOL
1 -
Lol yea but that last person would be so screwed if the killer was chasing the other one.
1 -
I get that. But at that stage the killer should have the advantage. And I would take cypress as basekit if ebony was removed.
Plus the killer still has to hit you twice to down you. After that you were going on a hook anyway.

If keys couldn't open locks and purple keys had double the charges, keys would be great. Their 'unlocked potential' effect is... Honestly a little op sometimes, but still not as wildly imbalanced as being able to get free escapes.
But there is no way to rework Ivory/Ebony mori's. They are straight-up busted no matter how you look at it. Death Hook Mori? I call that the 'camp and tunnel with DS/unbreakable impunity' patch. Less broken than it is now, but still ######### broken.

I think that Moris should only be able to kill survivors that have been hooked twice. I find when playing both rolls that as survivor I get into a decent chase where one can is completed, I get hooked, someone comes rescue me but I get found before having enough time to heal, then get Mori'd or I'm unfortunately the only survivor the killer finds and again, get Mori'd. But then when I'm playing killer I try my hardest not to tunnel and camp but I can sometimes accidently run into the last hooked survivor, then proceed to down and mori them so that I'm not slugging or throwing, but it makes the game way too easy and the survivors get salty and annoying. Overall I think the the Ebony and Ivory are unbalanced and I bit unfair.
Also I agree with your idea for a key balance change

You forgot Expose-Addons. They are fun too I guess.

Agreed. Thanks for the response. <3

Maybe make it so that you have to hook everyone once before you can start mori'ing everyone which would slow down tunnelling and camping in all. Thanks for the response. <3

Yea I did forget those...maybe I'll do a new thread on that because those are just STUPID AF. Thanks for the response.<3

I think ebony and ivory mori should be the same but only usable on last hook.
Keys should be remade so it cannot open hatch. Instead make it only do the other things it can do, show auras of survivors and the killer, make all keys show the auras of survivors on deafult, increase the use time on the green and purple key. Take away the charge it takes to use and change some of the addons to show things it couldn't previously show (like pallets) this would make it a good alternative to a map and wouldn't be annoying for the killer, just a useful utility

Moris aren't healthy for the game and need a complete overhaul. They're just used as tools to punish survivors for daring to get better at the game or play with their friends. They're not fun to play against and there's no counterplay as survivors are the REACTIVE role. There's no reason for them to exist at all in their current state. Keys, on the other hand, actually require you to do objectives before you can even use it and there's no guarantee you'll actually get to do so. If the killer is sentient they'll ensure that survivors aren't able to use the key via slugging or banking on the key having add-ons to prevent it being lost upon death or the other survivors aren't aware of it and removing the survivor with the key from the game.
