The reworked maps seem to be too dark

I haven't played in a while but due to the good ole plague going around, i've picked dbd back up. I keep finding tons of maps that were reworked but it seems rework just means darkened. Heck i had a group of survivors add thick fog to the reworked map for Freddy, and good lord i couldn't see past 5 meters. Is anyone else having the same issue?

Legend says that after every update DbD makes, the game gets 10% darker.

Did you forget when DBD was updated to be really really bright?
