Yes, but it's a nonstandard contraction and not grammatically smiled upon when used in writing. You aren't really modeling the behavior you're preaching. You also obviously understood what the OP was saying. There was no need to call out his grammar. They can clearly speak/write fluently in multiple languages. That's more than most people.
