How Is Matchmaking Now

How is matchmaking now? I have a few perks to unlock to test out a few build reworks people advised me to try. I’ll still try to unlock them just need to know what I’m walking into lol

    I believe it's really dependant on your platform of choice, region, rank and also the role you prefer to play, but here's my experience playing the new patch on PS4, EU area.

    I played about 7 survivor and 7 killer matches yesterday and the matchmaking felt more balanced - I don't know if i was just lucky or something got tweaked in the algorithm.

    As killer (rank 1) i seemed to consistently get red rank lobbies - i think i only got 1 rainbow rank match, which was probably an SWF, so matches felt pretty fair, as in each game (aside from the rainbow lobby where the team fell apart really quickly) there were at least 2 people who were around my skill level and could run me around for a bit.

    As survivor (rank 1) i got more red rank killers than I usually do, so again the matches felt more fair. Generally as survivor i get killers mostly between green and yellow ranks, but yesterday out of 7 matches I got 5 red rank killers and only 2 green/yellows

    Obviously, I could have just gotten lucky yesteraday and my sample is pretty small, but my matches did feel more fair than normally

    Thanks for your input. I’m about to play soon as I get done eating. When people suggested perks, I realized, I either don’t have the perks or the survivor and I really want to try out the build I use with the tweaks that people have given me.
