I haven't seen anything about it. Just reactions. Im upset because i thought the first one was one of my favorite games of all time. I'll probably redbox or something. Or wait for a halfoff sale.

Yeah that might be wise. Since from what i heard of it. There is already red flags going around it. Like one of the people working on it, saying you need to be open minded and understanding. So a sequel to a video game many people liked or loved. Their reply is, you need to be open minded and understanding. Which does not sound very good and shows a lack of fate in the game, if you need to say to people to be open minded and understanding for a sequel to a beloved video game. Like wouldn't people already be open minded and willing to give the game a shot, due to how beloved and popular the first one was?

I never expect a sequel to be as good as the original. (Empire strikes back excluded) But as good as the original was even lower qualoty would have been awesome!

Ah yes empire strikes back, great movie. One of the few sequels that was just as good if not better than the original.
Yeah the only sequel to something i can think of that was better than the original in the past couple of years. Would be shadow of war. In terms of gameplay, it did add alot more you could do when fighting orcs or when commanding your own and building them up to be just right. Just so much more you could do, in terms of missions you could set up, even laying siege to forts. Could make the fort even easier, by killing off orc captains before hand or even replacing them with your own. Story, yeah not the greatest to put it nicely. Yet the same can be said for the first one, where it was really the gameplay, not the story that made it entertaining to play. If you like killing orcs and killing more orcs. It was the game for you.
Any other sequel that comes to mind, that i'm aware of with in the past couples of years. Yeah they were not very good, to put it kindly. More so when you look at what came before them.

correct I remember that being said... it's how they go about the story. Now, meeting the standard that the original set is almost impossible, I wasn't expecting Naughty Dog to meet that standard but for them to turn the story into what it is has destroyed the characters that the fans have loved.

Not sure why you're thanking them. They're very similar. You can see it with each new character being added and in the extra story being added. If you read the stories, they're being a bit more tame, but it's still there.

Yes but at the same time its different. As you said they are building the lore, not changing the whole game to fit it, also dbd is not that plot heavy game so even sneaking some changes wouldnt have that big of an impact.

It's one thing to create characters like Yui, it's another to destroy a story and push a political agenda like what naughty dog has done.

They're just seeing how much they can get away with. It'll go further. It never stops at just one minor thing. A ton of people left Naughty Dog because of this type of thing invading their jobs. It's already in BHVR. Keep in mind, this type of political crap wasn't much in DBD originally. It will slowly expand, btw, it's happened in the latest character story as well. Trapper's had it too.

After reading Trapper's story I already knew it was coming. Then came Yui, now Deathslinger, who is a bit more mild I guess, but it's still going. I haven't done any other challenges since, honestly. I was way too scared about David's story being injected with this crap, as well as others, so I'm not sure about theirs. Not to mention the rifts haven't been as good to me since the first either. The first rift had a lot of nice stuff. The last two were pretty bland for me. There's also a lot of side shaved heads and ridiculous hair colors being added(the first rift had this stuff too).

Dude I'm just saying what I read that's all. It's your choice what you want to believe. Like I said early in this topic most of the things that were put out there were already said before these leaks/hackers said anything.

There is no way it's fake... Naughty Dog hasn't denied anything and that's a big tell in it's self. The director came out and stated that he's actually sad that the community is reacting the way we are...... What does he expect? For us to be hyped that we have to play as a character and kill characters that we grew to love?...... hopefully you're right, I'll come right here and revive this thread when the game is released and if the game comes out as another masterpiece and the leaks are fake then we can all celebrate.... but I doubt it. sadly :(
