I'm glad i can play with my friends on xbox now. Though the question is how would crossplay swf work without external sources like discord?

I honestly think that's a survivor issue like, you'll have to find your own ways you know?
In Call of Duty, you have to speak publicly if you want your friends/cross friends to hear you. There is no party system.

"Cross save" is the same thing as cross-progression, which is also addressed at length in that video. If The King is to be believed regarding cross-play, then presumably one could apply the same standard to his claims about cross-progression.
We should bear in mind, though, that this is leaked code, it's not an announcement from the devs, so technically this isn't an official confirmation, even if it the evidence seems pretty compelling in practice.

Then you opt out.
PC players and Console players if and when the system is integrated should have the option. I deleted by DBD on PS4 because survivor queue times are horrendous and I'm a full PC player now. Some times, the queue times aren't worth the time spent, it gets to the point where you just say "Just put me in any damn match."
Why are you afraid of PC killers? Nurse was already nerfed to the ground, she's no longer a threat.

I don't think anyone would be angry, it's a feature that's widely requested so it'll (hopefully) eventually come.

Oh yeah, I'm very hopeful as well. It's just that there have been a lot of times in the past where content has been leaked and then things never got released or were changed significantly from the leaks, and people felt betrayed by the developers even though the devs themselves never announced anything. So I think it's always worth remembering that even if something seems extremely likely, it's never 100% confirmed until it's announced through an official source, just to avoid disappointment and misplaced blame if things don't go as expected.

Gonna cross my fingers. I have a couple of people I'd like to play with, but I'm primarily a PC gamer, and they're PS4 folks. We shall see. 🤞

Well yes, but actually no.
They were confirmed to be hackers. When that comes about, then we don't know if it was a feature they were going to test/implement, or if they legit hacked into the Playstation Network, which people have been proven to do before. Until we get a word from bHVR themselves, then I'm not going to hold my breath.
It'd be lovely and I can have a decent reason to convince my mate who is doing Youtube to have a couple of games on his channel, grow it to monetisation numbers and have a decent reason to slaughter him mercilessly, considering he's on PC or PS4 and I'm only on Xbox.

The actual anniversary is June 14th, but that's a Sunday this year, so any events or streams around the anniversary will probably not happen on the day itself. Either way, we can probably expect to see some anniversary-related things happening around mid-June.

I don't play COD so I couldn't care less about it. From my experience I don't want crossplay with PC hackers and manchildren streamers.

PC currently HAS a crossplay option between the PC Microsoft Store and Steam. There is a little toggle you can go to to switch "Crossplay" off in the menu.
And your fears about hackers are a little... strange. I maybe don't think you remember what happened during the console dedicated server test earlier this year, but crossplay had nothing to do with it. Hackers just put themselves, or streamers, into console matches, creating their own little version of crossplay that was completely unaffected by ACTUAL crospslay. That's not an issue with legit crossplay at all, just dedicated servers. Which are their own, separate issue. As, in fact, are hackers: BHVR flicking a switch to enable people on console and PC to que together has nothing to do with hacking dedicated servers to put yourself or an unwitting streamer into a broken match.
And as for hackers, they are a real issue that, thanks do the magic of dedicated servers, everyone will now have to deal with. But hopefully that means more people recording and reporting hackers in the act.

I don't watch Fake Meat, and I never said 100% of them were. But the initial wave of them were apparently hackers according to what people have said on the forums. It's probably a case of hackers opening up the link, and a few people accidentally finding their way into PS4 lobbies.
I'm not an expert on the subject, just going off what other people have said.

Pretty sure one of them was Peanits. And again, there were plenty of threads about it at the time. You could find any one of them and they'd be able to give you more information than me. I didn't look that deeply into it, because once again, I'm an Xbox player and this issue has not affected me.

As long as they make it optional. I personally won't ever do it. PC would clearly have an advantage. Console to console maybe, but never console to pc....
