So about totems

I understand why people think a totem counter is needed, especially if we are going to consider totems a secondary objective. But at the same time I agree that that's giving survivors a bit too much information for free and would often make NOED basically useless.

So how about a compromise? Here's my idea..

All of the totems on the map are connected through the entity's power. When you cleanse a totem or come across a cleansed totem you can perform an action to read or channel the strength of the remaining totems. This takes about 15 seconds. After the action is completed the bones shift in position and reveal a roman numeral between 1 and 4 to indicate how many totems are left on the map. If there are none then the pile of bones vanishes.

Small Game could be buffed to speed up the action, in addition to its current effects.

Thrill of the Hunt could be buffed to make reading the totems both take longer (based on how many totems remain, like it currently does) and notify the killer when you have finished reading/channeling.

Unfortunately this doesn't do much for a SWF team that's paying attention and simply counts out loud how many totems they've done but I'm not sure what would help with that.
