    I think deep wound should only pause within 16m instead of a terror radius personally. It basically makes half of legions iridescent button useless since it makes your terror radius affect the entire map.

    I can agree with that. What I hate about it the most is that simply running stops the timer even when out of a chase. Deep Wound should be scary and you should feel pressured to mend yourself quickly. The way it is now, you can take your time and feel no pressure at all.

    WAIT simple holding W or L1 STOPS the mending? Even when out of a chase? If you mean outside of a terror radius aswell then yea definitely needs a change.

    Listen, I'm going to defend myself by clarifying a few things: 1. This poll isn't about the Legion at all, there was no mention of him so this poll is specifically about the overall state of Deep Wounds as a status effect. Legion is a completely separate issue that is way more complicated, and I won't be touching upon at all. 2. My answer is realistically far more of a middle ground than either of these polar opposites, that being said I think I lean more toward it's fine than it's not.

    With that out of the way, I'll be honest, the Deep Wound status effect does it's job more or less pretty well. It forces survivors to eventually stop and take the time to mend slowing down an insane gen rush "Just a lil' bit" . the change the devs made so that the timer never went down while running was a pretty good one honestly and took most of the annoying aspects out of the picture.

    However, that doesn't mean it's perfect and I'll admit it does deserve a few changes, primary of which is honestly the timer should be reduced a survivor can stand there and bleed out for literal eons before they drop from blood loss. They should honestly be encouraged to mend as soon as possible and one of the primary ways to do that is with a much quicker timer.

    Aside from this, there's not much else to say about it. It does what it was meant to do more or less, it's no longer as annoying on the receiving end, although it could do it's job a little bit better. Honestly it's not terrible, and it's in a more or less decent spot but I wouldn't go anywhere near as far to say that it's "horrible". It needs a few changes, yeah, but that's not horrible c'mon bruh. You'd be exaggerating at that point.

    I think this mechanic should not tie the balancing of 2 killers to a survivor perk. That is all. I wouldn't call it terrible, but it is more survivor sided than it could be.

    It does what it is supposed to do: force survivors to stop what they're doing and spend some time mending themselves. It's not supposed to get you kills or "be threatening", whatever that's supposed to mean.

    Unlike killer abilities, perks, and to an even lesser degree status effects, are not supposed to be game changing mechanics that swing the effects of games tremendously one way or another. Obviously there are certain effects that are blatantly more useful and thus more used than others there's no denying that the mangled status effect and perks like Sloppy Butcher are really good. But it's not like these contribute individually as a major factor in determining a win or loss, they can and there's potential, but not always.

    Much like how Wiggling isn't necessarily for a survivor to constantly wiggle out of the killers grasp, but rather to keep them from taking you across the map to their most strategically powerful hook position: the basement. Deep Wounds isn't necessarily for a killer to cause survivors to bleed out over time, it can do that, but like @White_Owl said to "force survivors to stop what they're doing and spend some time mending themselves"

    Although again, that doesn't mean it's perfect and again it could use some changes. Primarily what I mentioned before, reducing the actual bleed out timer, it's all well and good that the timer stops when a survivor is running to prevent killers from abusing the mechanic like they did in the past, but even if a survivor is standing still it can take a seriously long time for them to drop down from blood loss. And I will agree to a certain extent, this does translate to a lack of a present threat in that moment.

    Deep Wounds does what it is meant to do. It makes survivors stop doing gens, healing, or hiding in lockers until they slow down and finish the interaction. It was never supposed to get killers free downs.

    Deep Wounds in itself is a good concept, but the delivery is flawed. It's just so easy to heal, especially with two other survivors.

    The most impactful part of it is the screen darkening if your timer gets too low.

    Deep wounds is the sole reason Legion is garbo. By itself Deep Wounds is fine, but because of the fact it's an incredibly vital part of his kit, every buff they give Deep Wounds nerfs Legion even more, and the devs really don't seem intent on actually fixing this issue.

    It provides little threat, because you can just run away and stop the timer. No idea how that makes sense, if anything, running should accelerate the timer because you're heavily bleeding and running around. Running would more than likely cause the wounds to open more.

    It stops Survivors from doing gens... for 12 seconds or less.

    It's also a 30 second timer so if they really want to, they can ignore it and do over a quarter of a gen before they even need to mend.

    It's a complete joke. By far the worst stall tool a Killer can use.
