Buying DLC via Steam OR individual characters from DBD store

I haven't seen this addressed anywhere, so my apologies if I just overlooked it.

If you decide to buy characters from the DBD in game store, then buy the associated DLC (or are gifted it from a friend) does the game give you any kind of compensation? Like bloodpoints or something? I know it probably sounds like a silly question.

For example, I have Feng but I don't have the Doctor. If I decided to buy the Spark of Madness DLC from the Steam store...? Then what? Just a waste of money, since I already have half of that DLC?

    You won't get anything. Had the same issue once. Bought Feng with my shards, then saw that you do not get her relaxed outfit when you buy her from the shop so I bought the whole DLC. You do not get any reward for buying the DLC although you already have half of it.
