A lot of people here can benefit from this video
If you are one of those people that hate DS or NOED or something else about the game, watch this video. It may give you some perspective.
Especially important here is the part about "vocal minority". Considering that a fraction of a fraction of a fraction of the DBD playerbase comes to the forums, it means your complaints might not be as widely held by others as you thought.
Also important is the part near the end about "abuse and entitlement" which DBD most definitely has it's fair share of.

You been a member of these forums for how long now and a dbd player for longer I would expect ?
Do you honestly have enough faith in this community to be able to watch this and come away with anything of value to change their minds ?
Let alone faith in humanity ?
Trying to change people's minds on anything is like trying to fight the tide of the ocean.
I respect your attempt at good faith but I fret it falls on deaf ears or this case a wall. Cause who wins an argument with a wall?
A concept a lot of forum goers here seem to lack in understanding.

This is very interesting i loved the idea that in game mechanics are there to give the game some unique feature even though it could cause frustration it helps keep the game interesting.
While player feed back should be listened to it should only be listen to by a majority instead of a minority group of the playerbase. At the same time they should considered if this machanic was either a successful or a failure of its purpose. this is shown by how every match is recorded and documented.
The video was great thanks for the information.

I watched the video then read the comments. Anyone who didn't watch the video should dismiss themselves from the conversation, since the op suggested to watch the video in the title of the post. He was neutral, all he said was to watch it and tell him what you think.
So to those who watched the video; I agree with the sentiment in the video but the newer generations weren't raised on the same games older generations were. A game used to be made and shipped and it would either do well or flop. There was nothing to add or remove since the finished product was already out there.
But today, developers are also to blame since they are adding more to their game after release, which is an obvious cash grab. A free to play game cost someone hundreds of dollars over the years in just cosmetic purchases.
Think of how much someone spends in real cash for "Auric Cells" (game currency). Some have admitted over $120 in a year (at least the people I've spoken to). Would you buy Dead by Daylight for $120 off a shelf at a store? Or on Steam?
Times have changed and the player base changes with it. The players aren't the only ones to blame, a lot of them are spoiled by nervous developers.

I'm pretty disappointed in some of the commenters here, to be honest. I thought the video was very interesting, and thoroughly enjoyed watching it. I was especially intrigued by the idea of reframing the player-dev relationship as "help us make the game we want to make" instead of "help us make the best version of this game", in order to highlight the notion that it is the developers' creative vision that the players are helping them realise, not the other way around.

If you post a 17 min video, you should include a tl;dw. Just a suggestion.

1) That's not really an option. He discusses a lot of important stuff I can't really condense it.
2) Would it kill you that much to watch the whole thing? He's not boring to watch or anything and he makes valid points the entire video.
