NURSE MAINS: Advice?

Recently decided that I wanted to become a OTP (One trick Pony) and I know that nurse has an extremely high skill ceiling and is extremely effective once you get there. I wanted to lower my self esteem and jumped straight into my purple/red rank lobbies and BOI OH BOI did i have a feild trip of tbags. Had a couple good blinks, out of like 100. I know that the biggest tip that alot of people give is to put time into her and learn her blink ranges with muscle memory etc, but I just thought I'd ask a few questions regarding after aspects of the nurse.

  1. What kind of builds should I run? Currently i run BBQ+C, Infectious fright, PGTW, thanataphobia and go for a snowball slug kinda playstyle.
  2. Are there any other tips that you have for learning nurse other than putting time into her?
  3. Is she worth it or am i better off learning another killer and having more fun straight off the bat

Any input is appreciated, thanks yall!

I just started playing with her recently myself. Shes a lot of fun once you start to get the blink ranges down. I dont have any advice since im pretty new myself except to say watch the survivors. They tend to behave differently and 1 survivor tends to use tge same trick. Example, if a survivor turns around and runs right at you when you blink, next time shorten your blink cause theyll probably do it again.

Yea thanks, also incase you weren't aware if you fully charge a blink and they run at you, just look down and you'll blink on the spot pretty much so they run right into you

I don't play Nurse much but I know Shadowborn is really good on her because it allows you to see better while you're in fatigue. I say swap out Thana for Shadowborn and you'll have a pretty good build.

Yeah its a neat trick, i use that at pallets to. They drop the pallet, i start to blink like im gojng over but instead look down and they vault right into me.

    Hello, Nurse main here.

Check out Ardetha on YouTube. He has great, and I mean GREAT Nurse guides, they still apply to current Nurse even after her nerf.

The above pic is my build and it works pretty well.

Try adding I’m all ears and shadowborn. These perks are really amazing on her for a beginner nurse. I wouldn’t call myself a nurse main but I can do pretty well with her. I have found a lot of success with I’m all ears, it makes survivors think twice about vaulting and it is a god send when they vault and you aren’t able to see them and shadowborn is great on nurse to see a more when in fatigue. My build is BBQ to find survivors and to get them off gens. Shadowborn to see more when in fatigue and good sight. I’m all ears to well in chases and Corrupt so I will have more time to find someone (you can swap this if you’d like). I know this might sound dumb but I will do horrible with her if I don’t get enough rest/sleep. It can be very frustrating and I don’t really think. So I would suggest to get some rest before playing her :).

    But all in all.

    She's not worth it.

I found ANOTHER bug, just now that doesn't allow her to port.

I'm posting it on YouTube and I'm making a thread about it if you're interested.

She's, in my opinion, the most bug riddled, glitchy, ignored mess there is.

And they're leaving her like that because they wanted all Nurse mains to stop playing her.

Blink to the corners when chasing to a loop, don't blink through unless you know they're there. It will stop people from breaking los and doubling back. Wait a split second after blinking to swing. She had this bug that will target anything but the survivor if you swing directly out of the blink.

If you find her fun, then use her. To me, she's one of the worst killers in the game, I can do just as well with spirit with half the frustration.

You're name fills me with LOTS of hope XD Thanks for the tips. I need to level her regardless so I'll see if theres any improvement if not ill play Spirit AKA Nurse 2: Electric boogaloo

It does work very well, aside from the massive bugs I'm encountering.

Infectious is a really risky choice. Sometimes, because nurse is never helpless in a chase, you feel like you can chase everything. And sometimes, you leave a slug to chase somebody else, when you down them you find someone else and you keep the cycle of greedness. The problem is: some chases can take a bit of time that can lead you to defeat. You need to know when to slug very well. Because if a slug is picked up all the time chasing him is kinda lost if you don't find them again. If you are starting it's not the best pick.

I would heavily recommend a slow down focused build. Because what you need is time more than anything.

    My build would be:

    Addons

    Duble recharge

    Perks:

Corrupt Intervention, BBQ, I'm all ears, ruin

    Other good perks:

Sloppy, discordance, whispers (if you know how to use it) and Thrilling tremors.

I don't think that thana has a lot of impact if you don't have high pressure,

PGTW is not going to help much if you don't down fast.

Things I can say about strategies:

    Diagonal is better than straight

if you are close, don't charge the second blink right away, see what the survivor does.

Learn to fast turn your camera while blinking

Learn to spin your camera to both sides fast before lunging (in some pallets you need to turn right, some left).

You can scare survivors to run into you if you blink fast, it can counter dubling back on their part.

She's a lot of fun. But, if you are looking just for strenght, Spirit can do the job as well.

    1. My current build, which has led to a lot of success: BBQ, Corrupt, Pop, Monitor and Abuse. Addons: 1 recharge, 1 range. Range addons are great.
    2. I always focus on the spot I want to blink, not so much the survivor. DON'T be afraid to eat a stun: If, after your first blink, you were a little off or you think they'll run back at you, take the 1 blink fatigue. This will often make them run towards you and then you are able to hit them without blinking.
    3. She is definitely worth it.

If you don't want to slug, i recommend:

Perks: BBQ, Nurses, M&A, I'm all ears

    Addons: double cd

It's a simple build combining the advantages of nurses+m&a and I'm all ears for the chase.
