BEFORE YOU RAGE, READ THIS:
Hey there, 2am as I'm writing this but thought I would spend my time somewhat wisely. I have seen alot of posts in my time on the forum, and just thought I'd write this one. A one stop shot to provide some rational solutions to why you just rage quit the game XD. Just take a sec, take a read, take a breath, and think.
So, with the intro outta the way, lets give you the rundown. I'm going to write some common issues, and give you a proposed imo rational answer before you have the time to rage.
First up:
Noed, Keys, Moris, DS:
These are all infamous for the rage posts, and it isn't difficult to understand why. These items and perks can often be described as unhealthy or unfair or abuse-able. You might be right, but then, gasp you might be wrong?
Sure, a sweaty SWF can abuse the DS timers and key escapes, but if you didn't pay attention to the fact they had a key, or didn't switch targets when you know the person who just got off the hook has DS (there are numerous giveaways, they jump into a locker, theyre the obsession etc) then who is at fault? If you see that the killer has give an offering that is in secret, try your best not too get hooked. I know that's silly, but for all of these perks the game give's you everything you need to counter them. Noed can be destroyed, DS can be waited out, Keys can be franklined. Again, I'm not saying these are fair or they are not fair, im just giving you a rational alternative to bashing.
Matchmaking:
BHVR are introducing an MMR system soon, so that should solve the issues of matchmaking. What everyone needs to understand is that there is generally an unhealthy lower amount of killer players, and the matchmaking system now works off ranks. If the system cannot say find a rank 1 swf a rank 1 killer, it will expand its matchmaking perimeters. Because of this, newer killers get put off decreasing the population even more. Until the MMR is introduced it will remain this way. The MMR system will hopefully better the situation, and therefore encourage veteran players who quit to return to the game because BHVR can focus on other things that need their attention like the current map changes and god loop adjustments. Give them time.
Toxicity:
People will always show off, Surivors will always t-bag and killers will always hook slash. Its an undeniable fact. Rank means nothing right now with matchmaking, so i ask you, what are you mad about? Yea, the Dwight that gen rushed and hid the whole game might t bag you at the exit gates but.....so what? You will NOT remember his bald head when you wake up tomorrow, or even think about it in 4 or 5 games, so why care? gasp OH NO I LOST A RANK?!? WHAT EVER WILL I DO?!?!?!? Just learn to accept that people will be toxic no matter what BHVR. Aslong as crouching is a thing, so will T-bagging.
Feel free to bash me in the comments if you want, I won't be entertaining any toxicity. I'd rather i take a bashing than BHVR tbh, they have families to look after during this epidemic after all they can't worry about how you got d-striked and de pipped because you lacked gen pressure.
Thanks yall

Whats funny is its not emeven really tbagging. I just laugh cause it looks so stupid. If someone isnt on the ground below you its not tbagging and its the same movement you do to thank someone for healing you. Its funny 😂

It is pretty funny :') "cheers claudette let me sit on your face" lmao

Matchmaking isnt going to be fixed. Theyre just hiding rank so people stop complaining.
Your other assessments are quite accurate, however, regardless all four of those "things" you mention, need reworks or removals, period.

I personally think keys are fine, Ebony mori should be changed, DS timer should be reduced and noed should have more of a requirement, but like i said we need to give BHVR time to work on more important issues, I'd rather they fix map sizes and god loops over keys or ds.

Well like you said, this isnt the place for a discussion on that. But I agree. I prefer map changes over everything else

Most of what you said is fine, but I still have trouble with that "then who is at fault?"
There isn't a way to tell who has DS. That's the thing. There might be people that like to just be in your face about it and use it to bully you, but that doesn't mean it's a 100% tell that certain behaviors automatically mean DS. The obsession isn't always the one (or the only one) that has DS. There's several things that can make it unclear.
Perfect example, today I played a game as Clown and had people that were admittedly not bad in chase. Before I continue, I want to say this isn't me complaining about a bad game because I did just fine all things considered, and I don't care that much about "winning" anyway. So continuing, it was a relatively normal game, but there was clear coordination, or at least very very aware solo players in my game, because these survivors were going for Head On plays and stuff. On top of that (I didn't know this during the game obviously) but 3 of them were running Decisive Strike, and multiple of them were running Borrow Time.
Now think about this situation. I'm playing Clown who I only have level 50, no prestige, mostly crap/not maxed out perks, and I'm currently just trying to burn my BP offerings. Clown is already a weaker killer, but on top of that these survivors aren't stupid enough to give up free hits, I'm playing Sanctum of Wrath (pretty wide map) and multiple of them are running perks that extend chase and give second chances. There's only so much I can do as a Clown that isn't running a fully stacked build with a Finger or purple addon, or a mori, or anything special, when multiple people are running DS like this. To make things even more tricky, these survivors weren't the type to be very obvious about having DS. They weren't just doing things in my face. Admittedly, a Jane did slowly enter a locker, but it was as I was coming up from a good distance so I just had to assume that she was trying to hide and maybe prepare a Head On before she got caught. Nope, she just lets me grab her out of a locker, and she just so happens to have DS and hits me with a 5 second stun and runs away. No, she was not the obsession. No, I wasn't tunneling her, I was chasing somebody else and just went to patrol a gen and saw her going into the locker. No, she wasn't teabagging and trying to be annoying and get me to chase her.
I mean, I don't have a problem with a lot of the things in this post. I just don't think it's very fair to simply just say "maybe you're right... but gasp maybe you're wrong?" and "who is at fault" and all that on the topic of DS, because I simply feel like there is way too much room to abuse the perk.
Once again, not making this post to rage. I don't have this agenda against DS. That's not what this is about. I just simply think one small part of your post is lacking some acknowledgement from one "side." It's one of the few things that people come on here and complain about a bunch that I actually feel has some validity to it. That, and maybe getting mori'd off 1st hook. Pretty much everything else I agree with.
