Small Changes You Think Would Help the Game
What are small changes you would add to improve the game? We all know the big ones like 'balance SWF' and 'fix hitboxes', but what tiny things do you think would improve DBD? My ideas are:
-Add a totem counter to the top of the screen. I think it would help close the gap more between Solo and SWF since NOED can be devestating on a team off solos but weak against SWF. And if that makes the perk too weak, than maybe only add the counter if the survivor is running Small Game.
-Allow players to browse the in-game store while waiting for a lobby. It gives the player something to do and, with the state of lobbies right now, I think it would be a good change.

Id like a team rank at the beginning of a match so i know if im headed into a sweaty swf game or if its going to be more chill. Like take the rank of each individual survivor, add them together, then assign a value to all perks, like 10 to meta perks like ds, bt etc etc, add all that together and assign a team rank. Survivors should get an indication of how rough the killers going to be as well.
I get this could lead to abuse but it could also lead to more matches where people dont feel like they got unnecessarily ######### on

A totem counter is just a noed detector. Just sayin.
Different gen skins would be nice. It's too easy to spot a gen from afar. Some actual searching may liven the game up.

A totem counter would be amazing since every day doing totems is looking more and more like a second objective.
A 60 second timer on each survivor to let the killer know who's been off hook for 60 seconds like Freddy's timer.
Trying to stay non-bias here.

True, but if a base kit totem counter makes NOED too weak, than just add it to small game. A totem counter doesn't really give the survivor information a SWF doesn't have already.
Gen skins are a cool idea. I would like if they updated the graphics for them too.

Totems need all the advantages they can get. You're literally destroying the killers perks. It's why nu-ruin is scoffed at. People countered it by finding totems fast and destroying them all.
You don't want to deal with Noed in a public game? Then it's the rules of the wild. You don't need to be fast. Just faster than the guy behind you.

Please. I’m begging BHVR. PLEASE change Yamaoka’s lighting back to the way it was.m before the Oni patch. Why do we need Yamaoka to be that damn dark?
The bottom floor of the Game map is also way too dark. Claudette will vanish into thin air on that map.

That's an issue with totem places in general. Like in Crotus Prenn asylum, how they just spawn in the middle of a field. What totems need is better placement. A totem counter won't help find them any faster, it just helps slightly close the massive gap between solo and SWF by giving the solos the information SWF already has. And if it's too strong at base, add it to small game so the survivor has to use a perk slot for it.

overall changing certain maps (ormond, The Game, yamaoka, haddonfield, hawkins) to make them more fun to play on
those maps ate extremely boring as both survivor and killer

I don't think a totem counter should be specifically on Small Game(btw Small Game is trash, fight me Small Game fans! Detectives Hunch is better). It should be on the HUD specifically. Breaking totems is still risky, if 5 totems are getting broken, the killer got more time out of the game.
As for other changes, make Kindred base kit. I'm tired of them making perks a substitution for systems that should just be automatically in the game. There's no reason it shouldn't be base kit, reduce the range of seeing the killer if they have to, but being forced to run a perk to account for an obvious flaw in the game is stupid.

A search bar for perks and a way to save perk builds. Not game changing stuff, but still QoL.

This.

Nothing much to add that has already been said, but I think some updates NEED to happen.
- Being able to look at the shop and Tomes/The Rift while waiting for a lobby. Even when I am in a lobby. I am always read beforehand I don't need to stare at my screen for a minute. Sometimes I also forget to add a new challenge but I can't now since I got a lobby.
- Better totem placements on most maps. Lery's and Dead Dawg Saloon have the best totem spots IMO.
- Yamaoka lighting. I can't count how many survivors I've lost on that map. Also can't count the amount of times I've lost the killer from just losing line of sight for 1 second and then crouching in the long grass. I don't mind it being stealthy, but I have to physically stop and look down into the grass to make sure no one is hiding there.

- each item of survivor exists only in one rarity of a medium power, no longer obtainable in the bloodweb and are in unlimited quantity directly in the inventory of the survivors. In the bloodweb, survivors have just as many addons more suggested
- only the owners of a key can open and escape through the hatch
- rework of maps (item)
- return of toolboxes which do not empty in 10 seconds when used on a generator
- killers no longer see the items brought by the survivors (in the lobby), they also no longer see their nicknames and can no longer view their profile
- totem counter and Kindred basekit, as well as any change aimed at balancing solo and SWF survivors
- real punishment, in gameplay, against camping
- Borrowed Time benefits automatically, systematically, but only to the user of the perk
- Decisive Strike is redesigned / nerf
- Moris nerf
- Small Game is no longer triggered by objects with which the survivor interacts
- unhook yourself (and succeed) just before the end of P1 no longer leads directly to P3

1. Allow players to hit the Ready button inside of 15 seconds to start the match.
2. Make it so while you browse the store cosmetics you can preview different top/mid/bottom sections together at once. So you can pre mix and match the perfect outfit and see it altogether before you buy the pieces.

I like your idea about the totem

Give the hooked person distraction+obj points if the killer is camping them and the team is working on gens.

I really like the idea of Kindred at base. It's almost a must run for solos as a perk.

Agreed. I'm getting tired of perks being band-aids for systems that need to be in place. I also think Borrowed Time should be base kit but maybe with a limit of the killer being in the vicinity of the hooked survivor for a total of 10 seconds before activation, but I know people would uproar about it. Tired of people unhooking me in the killer's face without BT then not taking a hit.
