Could it be pyramid head? Just came across this reddit post a few days ago https://www.reddit.com/r/LeaksByDaylight/comments/gg50zf/i_think_im_onto_something/ which has quite convincing points about why it could be pyramid head.

In the past, they have had Adam's name (I believe) in a picture unrelated to before his release, so it is not too far of a stretch to make a guess with that. It does stupidly resemble the head, people argue its because its how a 4 looks, but they chose to make it that specific 4, with the left slanting as apposed to being straight across in the middle.
I hope that 4 explanation made any sense xD
Also it wouldn't be the first time they added a character from another game.

I know this sounds kinda stupid but... my theory is that the new killer might be predator. As much as I would love to see Candyman I think this is also looking a lot like predator. I mean people have been saying that there is a flying sound in the game files and I was thinking what if it were predator releasing those bug things. I'm not sure which franchise has that thing though. It's either alien or predator that has bug things flying around attacking people. If I'm not mistaken there was some predator things going around in the community in 2018. I remember some shrine watch with Hybridpanda and he showed some predator looking thing in dbd. Tbh I think predator wouldn't be that bad either.

I'm not particularly emotionally invested in either possibility, but being so objective, I do think the evidence for Candyman is more compelling. Two of the pieces of "evidence" in that Reddit post have one huge flaw, as pointed out in the comments - Pyramid Head is not owned by Kojima, so they are not who BHVR would be approaching to acquire his license. Also, that "huge offer" was received barely a month ago, which is way too short a time for a killer that's due to be released a few weeks from now to be in development. Yes, the 4 resembles his head, but the idea that it resembles the poster for the upcoming Candyman film (not in its exact shape necessary, but stylistically) is almost as compelling. Plus, there's all the bee references that have been made by BHVR over the last couple of months.
I know a lot of people want Pyramid Head, but I think they might be trying to read too far into something that isn't there. Of course, this is all still speculation, and I could very well be proven wrong when the chapter comes out.

It’s not Pyramid Head, come on. Words like “iconic” are being used, this doesn’t fit the bill whatsoever. Honestly to me Candyman doesn’t either, but he’s probably the favorite at this point. Iconic to me are killers like Jason, Dracula, Hannibal, etc. Candyman is on a tier far below them imo, pyramid head Im not even considering.

I totally agree with you. They are trivializing the word iconic. The way they describing the next killer as "iconic", the chapter as "very emotional milestone" and the franchise as "marked the world of horror" will turn to be a BIG bruh moment if it is Candyman, IMO. Everything points to Candyman, I'm waiting for the worst...

I think Pyramid Head would be iconic at least to the video game industry.
I would personally love Pyramid Head and Heather as a survivor I would pay any amount of money for that, though I doubt it will be him.

Exactly! Iconic doesn't just apply to movies. The first couple of Silent Hill games were ground breaking as far as horror went. It brought psychological horror to the forefront, and I believe inspired many other developers to follow suit with their games.

Right! Hell I don’t even know anyone who likes the movie, would doubt most have even seen it...and I’m definitely a lot older than most here. I only saw it once years ago when it came out, thought it sucked, and never watched it again. Don’t find him iconic in the least, but at least a very small part of me could buy the devs thinking he is...pyramid head though is just a hell no.

Actually there are several "guys who sit around a table and finds ways to make your life hell" as Peanits once said ages ago on a thread. While he attempted to play this off as a joke in response to the original topic of the post, I believe it to be real. I mean why else do we not have shirtless Myers yet!?
