If it worked on gens not only would it be broken but every survivor would be running autodidact. It would spread like wildfire and they would abuse the ######### out of it until the Devs patched it :P

It does
You start the Trial with a -25 % progression penalty for Skill Checks to heal Survivors.
For every successful Skill Check completed while healing a Survivor, you receive a Token for a maximum of 3/4/5 Tokens.
Each Token grants you a +15 % bonus progression for a successful Skill Check while healing Survivors.
Great Skill Checks cannot be performed while using Autodidact.
Autodidact is not active when using a Med-Kit to heal.

lol i had to check as well after the white ward problem (which still isnt fixed because you lose your addons if you escape with it active even though they removed the on death restriction).

The perk itself states "healing others without a medkit"
If it worked with gens that would be busted

While not fully stated as giving 15% progress bonus on healing survivors, it is HEAVILY implied that's how the perk works. This is why it is actually better to rely on the wiki than on in-game explanations. The wiki actually explains what the perks don't mention. And what Autodidact doesn't mention is that the tokens only work when healing a Survivor without a med-kit.

I remember when the perk first came out there was a bug where it used to work on gens yeah it was not fun.
This was before its ptb nerf so it would do like 80% of a gen in onr6 1 skill check if you have full stacks.
But as of now it is only for healing like it should be

going to lock this, as it's not really of much use to the original poster now.
