Summer BBQ Event Bullshit
It was only 15 minutes to finish the summer event and I only needed three more gens to get the Kate cosmetic, I were a couple of hours playing to reach from 55 cocktails to the 87 I had before the last match. Well, I repared all the three gens almost on my own and finished the match one minute later the deadline (15:01 UTC). For a goddammn minute and I started the game on time. I don't know if this happened to someone else or is this a bug but I'm pissed out.
I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I needed to get this off my chest.

To be honest man I do apologize about the event. I won't lie I was a little irritated earlier this morning because the servers went down for me. I almost didn't get Kate. I was able to get the hillbilly within the first two days but fell off because Kate didn't feel or look as good. Either way I am severely sorry that you didn't enjoy the event.
Wish I could actually give you my shirt because I actually won't wear it

Be glad you didn't get it, you could have lost it like I did.I unlocked both items and had them equipped, only to have ALL progress reset to zero and the items taken away and the characters back to having the basic stuff equipped. This happened yesterday.Support was very unhelpful with this bullshit.1

Back to the topic of the event, connection issues were present but even so it was possible to connect to matches if you were patient. I was, and was able to get 10% of the margaritas needed before I went back to playing other games. It doesn't matter in terms of this event, in my eyes, due to how lackluster the survivor cosmetic really is.

Then this doctor had NOED and he hitted my other two teammates, downed me by the exit gate and I died on the hook so that's why I finish the game one minute later

To be honest, I found the survivor chops easier to get, but still got the cocktail machines. I am very casual, and thought 90 was a bit steep, but hey, got a load of BP!

I think part of the reason was I did the survivor side late in the event, so a lot of survivors didn't care about doing the event gens. There were a few games with only one non-event gen, and that gen was often among the first finished.

But I don't work in the office, I work from home. So the short version is I'm not sure why it's still Curtain Call themed. On the upside, the next chapter is close, so I imagine it's not going to stay circus themed much longer.

It's not as bad as people say it is. Remember everyone if it's really bugging you mute the menu music and go on youtube to find the original one. It's probably somewhere it's internet

Any idea on what the new theme might be? I'm hoping it's an edited version of a Japanese folk song (I think) named "Sakura". Like how the Bayu Bayushki Lullaby is hummed by the Huntress.

Ah yes of course I wasn't able to access the game for 2 days I think. I have a 9-5 Job and managed to complete the challenges within 3 or 4 days so even with the downtime it is easily achievable.

I'll buy a few things on the blood web, maybe even level my character up one or two levels, turn off my game for a little bit because I need to focus on something else but even if that period is as short as a minute I'll return to the game and everything's been reverted to the state it was in during 2-3 matches prior to levelling that character up after said matches.

I'd blame it mainly due to your progress being saved onto a server. For instance despite the fact you repaired the gens (I think, I've read and commented on so many posts my brain has fried) during the match the server most likely disregarded those gens repaired due to the event's end timer already going off at that point.

It was only 15 minutes to finish the summer event and I only needed three more gens to get the Kate cosmetic, I were a couple of hours playing to reach from 55 cocktails to the 87 I had before the last match. Well, I repared all the three gens almost on my own and finished the match one minute later the deadline (15:01 UTC). For a goddammn minute and I started the game on time. I don't know if this happened to someone else or is this a bug but I'm pissed out.I don't know if this is the right place to post this but I needed to get this off my chest.
Considering the amount of time you had to do the event on top of the extension, you cant complain.
The initial connection issues will be brought up as a counter-argument. But it was still possible to get it. Though this is coming from someone who has all of the time in the world and was able to give myself multiple days free from the grind after unlocking both cosmetics. I've yet to play with the Hillbilly weapon but there is no doubt I'll play about with it a lot.
Not everybody has the same time to dedicate to play a game but that's ok. That's is not the point, the point is I got pissed at that moment because I was a minute late from getting the cosmetic despite I started the match on time. I just wanted to get that off my chest and also share this anecdote with you guys. I'm not saying the event was short or anything like that, it was bad luck.
That's just something that happens. I'll buy a few things on the blood web, maybe even level my character up one or two levels, turn off my game for a little bit because I need to focus on something else but even if that period is as short as a minute I'll return to the game and everything's been reverted to the state it was in during 2-3 matches prior to levelling that character up after said matches.
That's not cool. Never happened to me, but it's seems that this game sucks saving your progress.
I'd blame it mainly due to your progress being saved onto a server. For instance despite the fact you repaired the gens (I think, I've read and commented on so many posts my brain has fried) during the match the server most likely disregarded those gens repaired due to the event's end timer already going off at that point.
Yep, it makes sense. I just thought since I repaired them on time they'd been saved so decided to help my teammates, but it was usless and I lost the reward xD
