How many winners should be chosen in the cosmetic contest?
Hopefully the devs see this. I think there are a lot of people who want multiple winners to be chosen. There are way to many good cosmetics to just choose one winner from each side in my opinion.
EDIT: Apologies for the first option. The poll for some reason wouldn't let me see what I was writing until I posted it. I also don't see anyway of editing it either.

If they were all in the next few free rifts it would be really smart. Imagine tomes 5/6/7 all had the winners as the free rift cosmetics. I'm not including tome 4 since the team need time to create the outfits.

Lol what do you mean this is definitely a non-negotiable thing since it was a contest the developers set up themselves. Of course everybody wants more but it takes time for the devs to actually make these cosmetics into a reality in game.
It's fine the way it is right now. It seems a bit greedy to ask for even more when already the contest is such a great thing all by itself
And you have to keep in mind that even though not everybody's idea can be selected to be put in game, the contest alone is an absolutely massive wealth of ideas and a huge resource of inspiration for the devs to use not just for what can be created but to see what kinds of things people want in game. So even if a cosmetic isn't recreated to a T exactly in detail, something of a similar theme might come down the line.

Yea it takes time. I don't mind waiting 6 or more months. I just think there is way to many good designs to just choose 1 from each side.
I wouldn't call it greedy either tbh. They already need to create cosmetics for the game so I thought if they made them and put them into the free rift it would be a good idea.
The contest was amazing and full credit to everyone who competed in it. I just think it's a shame that more aren't chosen, especially since they've already looked at every cosmetic.

Well, that's exactly why it would be greedy. We all know these community creations are first and foremost going to be put into the free track of the rift, "by the people for the people" and all that. Asking the devs to create more cosmetics that are undoubtedly going to be of equal quality to the premium cosmetics we can only get by paying for for free, is in its essence greedy.
Though sure, I will agree conceptually "if they're making cosmetics for the game, why not have more community influence" and yeah it's a bit of a shame such great ideas aren't making it in, but at the same time this contest is very new and I'm more than confident later down the line the devs will be looking at more ways to involve the community in the creative process of their work.
Hell, if they made a contest for written IDEAS, like backstory for killer, power for killer, backstory for survivor, new game-mechanic, new balance change, etc. I would be all over that, since unfortunately I'm not the best at drawing out there.

I wish they did do a contest to do with IDEAS rather than drawing also. I also don't have an artist talent which means my chapter/perks ideas don't look as good as a result of this. It would be nice but I don't think they will anytime soon.
Btw the reason I keep mentioning about putting the cosmetics in the free rift is because I don't think the creators get any money for their creation. If they were in the shop or premium rift I think behaviour would need to pay them, which may influence the amount of winners they choose.
I think if they put these skins in the free rift it will encourage people to reach tier 70 to get all the pieces. After they've reached tier 70 they might as well buy the rift since they get all their auric cells back and get a bunch of free stuff. So the grind to get all 70 tiers will give people a reason to buy the premium version in my opinion.

I was only saying this yesterday to Mr Mushwin, because there is soo many great designs and people sending in their work i think 2 survs and 2 killers would be good, maybe release two and then 6 months later the other two as well devs have to design them

The winners are being contacted from today onwards, so they've surely already been chosen. Especially at this late stage, a public poll isn't going to change their minds because they most likely decided how many winners they wanted to have based on practical factors as well, such as the workload involved for the art team in creating said cosmetics.
In other words, it's totally fine to create something like this for discussion, as long as everyone understands that it's just for fun, because the decision on BHVR's end has almost certainly already been made.

This is how I felt lol choosing 2 from each side I think is pretty fair and the devs can take as long as they need to make them.
I'm not expecting them to change it lol they are pretty hard to convince to change their minds. Even if it means next year they choose extra winners then I'll be happy. In terms of the art team I actually thought it would be better for them since they know roughly what they need to design.
For me certain killers like Plague don't have any cosmetics that (in own opinion) aren't that good. I only use her p3 if I play her. In this contest I seen amazing Legion, Plague, Billy and Huntress skins that would work perfectly in the game.
Your right about them making up their mind already. I just hope at the anniversary they say "We actually choose more winners" lol

When I say "the art team", I mean not so much the concept artists as the modellers, texture artists, animators etc. who put the work into making these cosmetics a reality. The more cosmetics there are, the more work it is for them.
But I agree, and I think that's totally fair enough. I'm sure the decision was really difficult either way! There were at least half a dozen different entries that I would have absolutely loved to have in the game, so it would certainly be a pleasant surprise if they were to announce more than two winners this time around. At least we know for certain that there will be at least two, since the rules specifically said there would be "winners" in the plural 😊

Exactly, we don't need them asap, it takes time and the team are working on other things etc, on another note wouldn't it be cool if they put ALL designer names into a hat, shook it and blindly picked out who won! i so wish to see that in the future lol

They did such an amazing job on the feng and the Clown cosmetics. They made us wait 6 months for then so if they did that again or even longer I'd be fine with it.
Honestly bar the announcement of the next chapter, the winners of this contest are what I'm most excited for from the 26th stream.

3 for each. There are a lot of good artists on these forums, and many of the drawings or ideas are outright ignored.
