Until matchmaking is fixed I will be face camping as bubba
I keep getting slaughtered by red rank survivors when I'm YELLOW ranked. Just last game there was a 4 man SWF with them all being ranked 1 except for one rank 12.

Here is further proof that camping - and especially the bubba-facecamp combo - is just another strategy. I don't see anything here that looks like grief. Everything is fine.

Bodyblocking is a strategy. Doesn't mean it can't also be used to grief. The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Uh but you are doing the one thing that gives you the worst chance or winning. Red Rank survivors are gonna just do gens and leave once they figure out you're face camping bud. It's not worth it

Like I said, strategies can be used to grief. For the mods, the question is "When has a legit strategy crossed over to griefing?"
The OP is clearly intending to grief other players because he thinks it'll somehow make the devs work faster. Someone facing a team of hook vultures, on the other hand, is just adapting to the circumstances. Both camp, but only one is griefing.

Use bad MM as an advantage to learn? When I started I was usually paired up against red rank survivors and 1 brown/yellow rank, made it harder to learn but I no longer get owned

Nope, nice strawman though. You stand a better chance of getting a kill vs red ranks if you facecamp one of them than actually playing normally if youre yellow ranks.

This isn't the first pvp game that puts you up against a higher more experienced opponents.
I just started playing RE Resistance and I was getting slaughtered in the beginning because as a rank 10 I was going against rank 35's. Did I give up? No. I learned to get better... looked at videos, did my research of how to play the game. It was the same way when I started playing F13.
Matchmaking is bad (And the devs are aware and are going to work on it), but at some point you're just making excuses to not get better.

The number of 4 man red rank teams is actually quite small compared to the whole of DbD survivors so my guess is even though you may heva gotten creamed a time or 2 by a 4 man team, generally you are not going against that. And organized red rank survivors (team or solos) will eat a hard camper for breakfast. It is just not a good strategy for better game play. You would do better if you said I am gonna play insta-down killers, with NoEd and mori's who do not engage in chases, just patrol the gens like my life depended on it. At least them you would leave with a great score.

I admit that moderation here on the forum, in this case, is very easy. However, I have huge doubts about the moderation of the game. I do not believe for a second that the moderators are able to determine when the strategy becomes griefing.
I am therefore waiting for someone to explain to me how this moderation takes place. What are the specific criteria that make camping a griefing ? When can I report, when can I not ? These are completely legitimate questions.
Without response, I then assume that valid reports are simply thrown in the trash as soon as they read "camping" or "bodyblocking", and that the moderation of the game is failing.
It would still be much simpler if these things became clearly prohibited, or ineffective.

I doubt the mods operate under extremely rigid criteria when it comes to nuanced topics like this, and if they do, they wouldn't publicly mention them because people would just abuse them.
When in doubt, report. Worst case-scenario, the report is thrown out. Best case-scenario, you help get rid of a toxic player. There's no downside to reporting, assuming you're not purposefully sending false reports.
Camping is as effective as survivors allow it.

Why would they even nerf it? By the time one person dies on a hook from being face camped, 2-3 gens are going to be popped in that time frame. So the most kills they'll even get is 2 at most. They're not going to nerf it. But, you believe what you want to believe

Yeah, games like league of legends would be so much better if a silver player went up against a challenger. Ditto for overwatch or any other competitive game. I agree, the system is so great as is.

I never said the system is great. Hence why I agreed that matchmaking needs working and pointed out the devs acknowledge it's problems.
What I was talking about was getting better at the game. If you want to go play with players who only run in straight lines, hide most of the time, throw a pallet the moment they hear a hearbeat... you got a long way to go in terms of actually learning the game.

He’s right, also most red rank teams especially SWF are extremely altruistic to a fault. I’ve had plenty of games as a red solo survivor where 1 teammate gets face camped by non basement Bubba and he ends up getting 3 kills from stupidity sometimes 4 because I alone can’t pop all the gens fast enough.
The team can clearly see him standing there but they think they can make some crazy saves...
