Thoughts on Tome Challenges

So does anyone else think that these things by themselves are a source of a lot of hostility and bad behavior?

Many of them just aren't realistic to do in a real game. At least not how you'd normally play. Killers end up having to camp or tunnel to secure the sillier ones, and many survivor ones are just improbable period without some kind of cooperation with the killer or screwing over your team.

They just don't seem very conducive to good gameplay experiences for one team or the other, just degenerate nonsense for the sake of something ridiculous.

I completly agree that some of the challenges can encourage bad manners and the like.

Ones where you have to get a certain amount of pallet stuns in a single match encourages unneccesarily wasting pallets which is very unfair to teammates. There's also one where you've to kill a certain amount of survivors and I recently had a game with a billy that slugged everyone the whole game, literally every time people were downed and tried to let them bleed out and the only valid explanation I can think of for this is this challenge.

There was also a challenge before to escape through the hatch which is obviously going to encourage survivors to be a lot less altruistic and a lot more selfish and actually hope for your teammates to die in the match and camp hatch.

That being said, I would still be reluctant to take some of these challenges out because I find the boring challenes like complete 25 gens just as bad
