why do people think chapter 16 is gonna be Pennywise?

I've heard quite a bit of reasoning for Candyman and some of Pinhead too but not a word of it for Pennywise and yet I still see heaps of people saying that it's probably gonna be him.

    Considering Stephen Kings protection of his property, you can throw the Pennywise idea in the garbage.

    DBD followed Stephen King a while back which where the IT hype originally came from.

    McCote once answered to which killer he wanted most in the game with „Pennywise“.

    that combined with the phrasing, this coming killer will be an „emotional milestone“ for the team or something like that lead some to believe that it could be Pennywise.

    plus the twitter following of Stephen King.

    As Paulie said, during development Deathslinger's original name was Gunlinger. Gunslinger is a book by Stephen King. They probably changed it, so names don't interfere because it would be easier to negotiate with Stephen King.
