Reporting process on PC

I never really came across hackers, but in the last 48 hours I came across 4 (one of them was noclipping with never ending flashlight, instahealed, instant openned the doors, instant ended the game...you know the usual)

So I heard that reporting through the game (after the match when chat pops up) is basically useless:

  1. You can't support it with any evidence, just with your words, but we know that's not enough. (thousands of salty people report others daily so obviously the devs are not taking everything seriously.)
  2. If your words are convincing enough, that does not mean that the guy is going to get banned, because he just changes his name on steam and that's it. (get out of jail free card)
  3. You cant upload videos to support your clams... etc.

So can anybody help me or anyone else in the community how to report hackers more effectively? I heard something about copying their steam profile's URL and doing something with it.

The reporting process has to follow specific rules, we definitely do not act on words only, you can find all the info you need in here:

Firstly, submit an in-game report. These help track the player's cloud ID so they can be banned on their steam account forever.

Then, ensuring you have evidence, submit a report hyperlinked here to provide further details on the report, including Steam Profile and the evidence you have of them hacking. Make sure to select "Additional Player Report Information" as your reason for submitting a ticket.

Support will then be able to look over your case and make the decision to ban or not.

    Good luck.

I had the problem that steam big picture overlay was turned on and I couldn’t find the steam ID of the profile for the „Additional Player Report Information“. But I didn’t record a video of the hacker so it would have been ignored either way I guess.. luckily I only ran across one hacker, but apparently the number is pretty high atm..
