New killer theory: ubume

So this is just a thought but if the killer is the woman we ear screaming in the video, she might became slit mouth of course, but she could also be something else.

NEW KILLER THEORY: Ubume is a traditional demon from the japanese folklore and her name translates to woman with child (I guess, fyi I translated it from a french wiki page). The reason that makes me think that it might be Ubume is because the victim do not wear pants and have her blood on her legs ... maybe she was giving birth to a dead child and she tried to reanimate it somehow. Then comes the child's grand father, and he wants her daughter to stop invoquing some oni spirit (the mask on the altar) to resurect her child. So he slashes the baby. Here what we can tell from the video:
1. with the first cut we hear the woman screaming, but not of agony. The baby might have been cut in half. Then we ear something dropping on the floor, might be the baby.
2. with the second cut, we ear coughings, here the woman has been strucked for the first time. She might have been shielding her child on the floor. She might also have taken the baby back with her.
3. with the third cut, we ear the a window shatter, and something drop ... maybe the mother throwed herself or the child off the window.

This seems to be a bit of a stretch, it will be a challenge to implement her into the game, seeing that she only deals with people who are pregnate. And the only time she does harm is when she give a living person her dead baby, they get crushed under its weights as it gets heavy.

However your theory sounds very interesting. It could be that the devs took inspiration from both of these killers and combined them together. I mean who knows 🤷🏾‍♂️

You're absolutly right ! I quickly wrote this post to open up the debate. Also, some little things are still bugging me in the trailer. The slit mouth theory in my opinion can't fully explain everything that's going around.
Things like:

• Why is there is blood on the floor before the slashing even happens ?
  MG (my guess) : Could be a corpse and someone tries to resurect it, or there was a woman giving birth.

• Why the victim is bare foot with her foot drenched in blood ?
  MG : bit of a stretch but again, might be the birth of a child.

• Why is there such a medieval japan vibe to the video, while we can briefly see a light bulb on the floor ?
  MG : the devs are misleading us for some reason.

• Last but not least : why calling the video "first cut" while there are three ? I mean by the sound of it, the victim sound more shoked (as if seeing someone she loves getting slashed) than pysically hurt. The second cut however ...
