Why doesn't the PTB have everything unlocked?
What's the point in making us grind while trying to test things... I know there's KYF but it's PTB, nothing matters anyways we might as well have everything to test with instead of grinding days for it on the new killers/survivors.
People save up hundreds of rare items/addons so they can spam them in PTB, in that sense nothing would really change.
EDIT: Ok not EVERYTHING but there is no reason we shouldn't have PH and the survivor unlocked at level 50 with all perks maxed. We can farm addons/offerings that's fair, but why waste a LOT of time farming just to get even a decent build? Sure it's practice time for the killer, but so is playing with a maxed character that doesn't have 4 random useless perks...

They answered this they dont want you playing plague if shes free if theres no changes on her. Like right now clown got changes so hes free and pyramid head got released so hes free as well. So they can get info on the changes and pyramid head they dont want everyone playing others with no changes and just using the ptb as a free everything.

then lock every killer except for clown and executioner, and give both of them access to all perks tier 3 and all add ons

The locking makes some sense but giving infinite off the addons and the perks maxed for free might mess up their info. If everyones just running the best addons and perk combos they cant find out the changes on their own. Imagine if michael got a change to like tier 1 and infinite addons was a thing so everyone just runs permanent tier 3. We get no info on tier 1s buff because the addons just get ran instead.

I never understood this either. Just unlock everything on the new characters. Not like ptb matters.

your logic can also be used to say that giving them 1 perk slot with a tier 1 teachable perk might mess up their info since the killer is not in their full potential, also that myers example is too specific, why specifically tier 1 since most ppl who play myers will want to get out of tier 1, (jumpscare myers excluded) i'm saying that they should unlock all add ons and perks for a completely new killer or a full killer overhual, not a tier 1 myers change

Yeah mb should have said tier 2 since its the most prominent mode but people who run infinite tier 3 try to get into it as fast as possible. But yes its kinda hard to find a middle ground i just assume they want people who are good at the character (aka the ones willing to grind on the ptb) to get the info.

thats called an excuse but not a legit reason tbh. They could easily make only the new killer available etc and give 1 mil bloodpoints or something to level em to 50ish, saying its because so people dont play other killers for free is for the gullible.

Exactly. If that was the issue just make PH free and all perks unlocked on him. Then all we need do is farm addons which is x1000 better than having to farm to level 50, get all perks, AND get addons.
I get why they don't lock all killers, because if a new gamebreaking bug pops up on another killer that no one on PTB ever had a chance to play and it goes to live that would be terrible. With that logic, there is no reason not to unlock everything since people will still play things other than the new or changed content.
I can agree to not every addon, but there is no reason we don't have a level 50 all perks maxed character to use in PTB.
