Crossplay

I've been seeing lots of people talk about their concerns and others talk about how excited they are. I, for one, am a mix of both. It could be fun, but the PC players scare me. I like to play on the Switch (add me) and the game is already relatively bad sometimes. My biggest fear is getting a VPN killer. That would ruin the game entirely. Am I the only one scared about this?

There are some concerns. But crossplay has an opt-out option.

Pretty sure there won't be crossplay between PC and consoles. They will only enable and extend crossplay between all consoles.

I play on switch too. I'm looking forward to playing with my friends who have XBOX One (I don't have an XBOX ONe, and don't plan on getting one). Though I have to say I'm scared of playing survivors on PC. I already struggle with some of the Switch survivors. I shudder to think what it'll be like when I face survivors with THOUSANDS of hours.

No, they said in the stream all game versions will be looped in together.

It was stated in the stream that PC, console, and Switch will all be cross-playing with each other.

The only people who are gonna suffer from crossplay are console survivors who are used to 360s constantly working because console killers get massive frame rate drops when they do it.

PC killers might have a slightly tougher time with console survivors because 360s are easier to do with a controller, but I don't think that'll be much of a problem.

There shouldn't be any downside for PC survivors.

Console killers already deal with the worst experience and this probably won't change anything for them.
