WILL THIS GAME EVER BE FIXED ON CONSOLE?????
The damn status buffs and debuffs keep freezing the game! I was looping a trapper when i activated dead hard and my game froze for a second and of course i go down when it unfreezes. This is completely game breaking and happens almost every single match on both sides.
Do the devs care about console players? Is it something that can't be fixed? I'm through with it and i know I'm not the only person this happens to, i've seen plenty of other posts.

No, they promised optimization and to my knowledge never gave us it.

Well that sucks. It's crazy to watch PC players have a much different, much smoother experience... Wish i could switch to steam and have my cosmetics and cells carry over since i invested so much in the ps4 version.

I really really dislike how silent they are about this topic.It's requested sooo often that i can't understand why they STILL don't talk about that at all.
My only hope is that the huge graphic update will resolve most of the problems console currently has.
BTW didn't they say in a blogpost that one of their aims is to get DbD running at 60 FPS instead of 30 on console till winter 2019?

I remember that too. 60 FPS for Xbox and PS, 30 FPS for the upcoming Switch.
The so hyped December Patch came and nothing changed. Then they broke the optimization into 4 phases. And after 2 phases or so they forgot about it.
Tbh when it comes to the technical aspect of the game, I don't trust these devs anything anymore.

With the next gen consoles within smelling distance, I imagine any major efforts to optimize either PS4 or Xbox1 were shelved. We will just continue to get the baby adjustments in patches until they are both obsoleted.
IMO it makes sense timeframe wise. The announced huge graphics overhaul and upcoming crossplay option both look to roughly line up around the next gen releases. Bright shinny new machines to show off these advancements.
We shall see...

That was my thought too. They probably see it as a waste of resources. Well have to see if the uograde to next gen fixes the issue

Why would they even bother optimizing fps for ps4 when next gen comes later this year?
Plus, theres even gonna be a HUGE graphical overhaul for dbd pretty soon, and a big reason for this overhaul is the ps5, if not the only reason.

Ok thats two of you that have said something about lag switching. Im not saying that never happens, what I am saying is that just because a killer looks to teleport and hit you, or a survivor teleports after you down tgem doesnt mean they are lag switchers. Those two clips are the same teleporting killer from 2 different POV, and im most certainly not a lag switcher. You can blame it on whatever, lag, poor console optimization, janky servers, whatever. But assuming lag switching is just short sited
