PC - Nemesis doesn't activate during animation

I was playing with Nemesis and Spirit fury as Trapper, this is what happened:
- I downed and picked up a Jake (he was NOT the obsession).
- I was carrying him to a hook, and as I walked under a pallet he wiggled free.
- During the wiggle-free stun animation the Jake dropped the pallet on me.
- Spirit fury activated and destroyed the pallet, Nemesis did not, the Jake was not the obsession.
Is it intentional? In my opinion given that Spirit fury activated then even Nemesis should have, since they both mention a "pallet stun".
I was playing on Autohaven wreckers but I don't think it's relevant.
