How did you guys finish "Sing Another Day"?
Because I sure as hell would love to know some of the intense matches you probably had since it requires you be Double Hooked (Not just let the Entity put you into Death Hook) AND Escape at the same time.
I just personally finished it and it was one of the best, if not THE BEST game of Survivor I've ever had.
It was in Ironworks of Misery, I wasn't really expecting much at first since well, I don't really have a bias for the MacMillan Maps other than the fact that they appear too frequently.
My teammates were a Meg, a Claudette and a Feng. I didn't have high hopes for both Meg and Claudette due to my recent run-ins with them being less than... Favourable.
We started working on the middle generator and that's when I noticed Freddy's first perk, Ruin. I thought "Okay, #########. That's going to be an issue." Because I don't remember the totem locations in Ironworks of Misery. I was working with a Meg when she ran away earlier than me, my Spine Chill lit up, Freddy was coming to check on our generator.
My first instinct was Surveillance, since he immediately went to check on our generator right after I checked for Ruin. I kept working on it until I heard the Terror Radius become almost as loud as it can be. After that, I hid behind one of the pipes that was in the main building. Surprisingly enough that worked, and Freddy was going after Meg.
I kept working on that generator until Freddy chases another Survivor, he hadn't downed the Meg which means he was chasing after Feng Min. I realized that after she got hit, blood started spouting out of her body, I immediately thought of Sloppy Butcher. Which made me cautious about Nurse's Calling because Freddy's lullaby can be pretty deceptive when it comes to how far he actually is from you, I know I've almost got myself caught off guard twice in this match alone because I wasn't expect Freddy to be THAT close to me while I was working on a Generator.
2 Generators popped at this point, one in the factory and another one in the outskirts of the map. Freddy still hasn't gotten a single hook yet. "Nice!" I thought, but I also realized that I need to get hooked myself in order to complete this challenge.
He was chasing a Meg who he promptly downed after the 2 Generators popped. I then started chasing after him, I was still in the Dream State at this point and I realized that I was facing a Freddy I personally find to be more dangerous than Snare Freddy, Pallet Freddy. He dropped a Fake Pallet down while he was chasing after Feng, I quickly dispatched of it before working on a generator, keeping in mind he probably had the Aura Reveal add-on.
While I was working on that Generator, he hooked Feng Min. Realizing that I probably could both get a save AND get hooked at the same time, I rushed to go save her. And during that time, another gen has popped. Meaning, Freddy has gone through 3 generators and only have gotten 2 hooks so far. So far, this seems like an easy game.
Or so I thought.
After I chased him around a bit right after rescuing Feng, I let myself be hooked by him with little resistance.
After being rescued by Feng (Thanks by the way), so began the two most intense generators of my life. Realizing he is running out of time, Freddy seems to be kicking things into fourth gear. He started putting pressure back on both ME and Feng, luckily he didn't get a hit on me and Feng, but he was up my ass the whole time. I ran through the main building and I think at some point, he lost me.
I heard someone working on a generator on an L Loop and it was Meg! Her generator was almost finished so I pitched in and we finished it together. She immediately asked me to wake her up and I literally thought to myself "This is how an intense match against Freddy should feel like! Rushing gens and staying up!"
At this point, Freddy is kinda screwed. We've successfully avoided a 3-Gen as a team, but he wasn't exactly done yet. We tried working on the generator that was near the Fake Pallets I just dropped, he downed Meg while we were working on the generator and hooked her. Realizing he has BBQ, I went to hide but he was faking it.
I got hit by his claws and I ran for the T Wall Loop that was to the right of me, next to one of the Towers.
I didn't exactly succeed in the chase and I was downed faster than I would've liked, my team just rescued Meg and they're now all together.
I had one more card up my sleeve. I still haven't used my Decisive Strike yet. Since it's Tier 2 though, I am seriously gambling on whether or not Freddy picked me up.
Right after I got unhooked, I immediately rushed back to the generator I was on and Freddy came back amazingly quickly. Now I was freaking CERTAIN he had Surveillance, I mean, he could've guessed that I was on that generator right after I got unhooked, but at that point I honestly thought he had Surveillance instead.
He downed me of course, and literally before Decisive Strike expired, he picked me up and I immediately stunned him with DS. I started ######### running for my life, I started running for the Main Building. But then Feng came in and saved me, she clicked her flashlight repeatedly to get Freddy's attention and it WORKED! I couldn't believe it, he knew I was dead on hook but he decided to go after her instead. Feng you're a legend!
Knowing that he is hard protecting that generator, I decided to go to another generator that hasn't been worked on, meaning he would have to patrol FAR away or gamble with his teleport on a generator on the other side of the map.
And the best thing is... This generator was right next to an Exit Gate.
At this point, Claudette had been hooked but seeing how he is chasing my teammates near where Claudette is hooked, I decided to just commit to that generator. Yeah he has slowdown and Sloppy Butcher, but I had Adrenaline and I am going to use it damn it!
Right after I started opening the gate, Freddy suddenly appeared out of nowhere! I was literally jumpscared by his sudden appearance, I was hit again but thanks to Adrenaline I wasn't out of the game. I ran towards the direction of the Claudette who just has been unhooked, at this point both gates were so close to each other I didn't know how the hell we were going to be able to escape. But somehow these amazing ######### teammates did it. No seriously, amazing props to these guys for somehow distracting Freddy for long enough for BOTH GATES to be opened.
I saved up my Brown Medkit for this reason. I was injured and it was the endgame, I did not want to risk being healed by someone else and I did not want to be one downed before I reach the exit gate. I started using my medkit and as I finished healing myself up, that sudden Gonging noise started playing. One of the gates were opened. I saw Freddy come closer and closer to me and he suddenly turned. I think he realized he was 100% screwed at that point.
After I finished healing, I decided to go back to the exit gate I was at hoping that was the gate that just opened, but nope, it wasn't. However, Feng Min was already on it and by the time I got there, I started hearing the alarm go off as the door opens wide.
"We did it!", I thought, we got everyone to escape. And I thought it was going to be a hopeless situation nearing the end there. We said our goodbyes to the Freddy as we went along our merry way.
During Post Game Chat, I realized his perks consisted of STBFL, BBQ, Ruin and Sloppy. Say what you want, but that build was still rather scary to go up against. Like seriously, holy #########. I was worried about Sloppy the whole game which was why I decided to stay injured for most of it and hope for Adrenaline.
But hey, this is why I sometimes love challenges like these. Being forced to a certain ruleset can create some fun and intense games to play. Like seriously, this was honestly the most fun I've had in DBD in ages. It's why I'm making a thread about it.
Hopefully I hear from you guys your own intense stories about doing this challenge, or any other challenge. Because those games deserve to be heard and shared, damn it! Those games are special and wonderful, because they're what a true DBD experience should be like.
This is Kibara and thanks for coming to my TED Talk.

I don't have an intense story. I just forced myself to have more interaction with the killer and had my friend rescue me during endgame. (Still took me 5 tries.) On the bright side, I finally decided to play a chase build more often.
But great story Kibara! Can I get a signed copy of your book filled with dbd storys once it's released?

Funnily enough I am writing a book right now, though it isn't finished yet :P
And no, it's not about DBD sadly.

I just deliberately got myself into Struggle when I was hooked. Then try to avoid the killer for the rest of the game. If it looks like your team is losing then try to wait for hatch, assuming killer doesn’t slug.

I just played like normal till late game, then allowed killer to hook me near open gate. I struggled to get to the second phase, then using Kindred+Camaraderie+DS I had my team do a clutch save against facecamping huntress and escaped safely from the Trial.

What an enticing story, you're a good writer!😀 I almost got the challenge three times but died before making it out... Had loads of escapes without being on death hook, encountered some farmers and got sacrificed loads of times, there even was a mori.... But I finally got it on Pale Rose swamp facing a huntress. I had a chilling moment at the exit gate when I got chased around the jungle gym but she fortunately lost me (thank you dance with me!!) and she started chasing someone around the locker I was in. Never been so hyped because I was scared she would load up her hatches! Could eventually get out, take a hit for my teammate and escape since the other teammate opened the gate. Great solo survivor teamwork!!!

I got it on my second try... I had this build: Left Behind, Adrenaline, DS, and Self Care, paired with a key. I tried to get as many gens done as possible, then let the killer hook me twice by being overly altruistic.
The first game was a failure. It was a Pig on ormond who constantly hard core camped me on hook, and tunneled me after I got off hook. I looped them for 4 gens, then they DCd.
Second was a tunneling doc on Yamaoka. I worked on getting all of the gens done before being altruistic. I left after getting unhooked the second time. Got hate mail for it, but hey, not my problem.
Didn't even need Left Behind or the Key. Just had it in case.

Well, I hate to ruin the whole "special and deserved to be shared" vibe but I got mine when a Deathslinger DC'ed.
It was weird too. He'd already killed two people and we had 2 gens left, he'd basically won.
I mean, I did Head On save the only other person alive as he was carrying them to a hook, but I'd done that to him before that game and he didn't DC then. Why DC now?

i got to endgame, let the killer hook me so i could get unhooked and run through the exit via crawling and DS. more worried about getting 2 gen grabs with the game not working right with grabs

I let a killer hook me twice very late game, then dipped
