I have my complaints about the game but I keep playing because...

Just curious as to individual reasons of the community. I've logged about 1.2k hours but in the last month I have "gone on a diet" with the game so to speak and I find myself feeling the urge to play lesser by the day. I still enjoy the game and don't have any plans to quit it but I'm content with the limited gameplay. Here's my personal answer:

I have my complaints about the game but I keep playing because I love an asymmetrical PvP game that is fun to play on both sides, despite the recent bias towards survivor gameplay.

So if you are someone like me who posts their opinions on the game's shortcomings, why do you keep playing? (Let's all be little Fonzies about this and not judge any answers 😉)

I keep playing because DBD is a very unique game that I think is fun. I also like the world and characters in it. Does the game have problems? Definitely, but it's come a long way since it's release. I don't see myself quitting any time soon.

I love the game itself. Outside of specific players - i love the concept, the mechanics, the artwork, the storylines, etc.

I like playing with other people. I only play multiplayer games. I like the social aspect and even the unique form of in-match communication.

Even though a lot of times there is at least 1 person in a match hellbent on ruining the match for others or who isn't of an adequate skill level to be paired with the people they're in the match with...occasionally there are very fun, exciting matches. Those are the matches I play for. Where skill level is balanced, all players play respectfully and fairly, chases are fun and everyone plays to their objectives and gets great points, everyone is friendly at the end of the match - no matter the outcome. Those matches are what make this game feel fun and rewarding.
