Messed up ranking system on console

Is it just me or does anyone else who plays Dead by Daylight on console have horrible luck with the ranking system. I mean I will go play a match as killer (I'm usually rank ten), and I will end up going against two rank twos and a rank five. For me it's not very fair at all, but I dont know if it's just me or are others having this problem?
