A Message to Killers Who Want to Farm

If you want to farm, fine, as long as you aren't doing it against anybodies will, but can you at least message the survivors before the match starts? I've been having games recently where I'll wait through a lobby, get into a match, and the killer just wants to farm. I not only find farming boring but feel like it's kind of a waste of whatever add-ons I bring. When I load into a match, I expect to play the game as it's meant to be.

I'm not trying to tell people not to farm if they want to, but please message me so I can leave the lobby and not have to sit through a boring game. Lobby times for survivor are long enough on their own.

Also, Survivors, if you want to farm, let the killer know, and bring your own streamers. Don't spew enough salt to fill a popcorn bowl when the killer takes you out for being a leech, bringing no more blood to the table.

Usually won't happen. They do that thing where they down you a lot and let others heal you first and hook everybody once to let the others rescue them. I had to do three gens alone at some point to get out of a match and it felt like a complete waste of time. Especially after I already waited who knows how long to get into the match.

I would say better boring farming and getting at least some bloodpoints than a facecamping bubba, but that’s just me I guess..

also there is not that much time for messaging and sometimes killers don’t intend to farm before the match starts but decide to after a DC/hook suicide maybe even depending on map or offerings

Ive got to be honest here and tell you half the fun is messing with survivors who have no idea that youre not planning on killing them. I hit a chick with iri and she dcd immediately, the rest of us had fun 😂

I disagree. I'd honestly rather load into a match, get one-hit downed, and camped to death because that wastes a lot less time in a boring match then the killer farming and me doing gens alone. Face camping at least involves some interaction with the killer in the form of a chase.

I agree with the DC and hook suiciding though, because that's not really the killer or other survivors fault and the killer letting them farm is seen more of a gesture of kindness.

I can see the fun in that. I've had situations where I would try to let the last survivor open the gate or get the hatch and they wouldn't catch on right away that were pretty funny.

The problem is I don't want to be part of a farming match and I don't like being forced to be part of it either. I was just doing gens so I could move on to the next game when the other survivors went out of there way to body block me so they could farm me.

If farmers let people who don't want to take part be, there would be less of an issue.

you can also run the the farming killer and then let him know that you want to get sacrificed, I bet most will understand. You may still think it wastes some of your time but it can end it faster.

Sometimes they'll just down me and let the others heal me instead but some are nice enough to do it. And even then, it still feels like a total waste of time where I have to wait for a lobby, wait for everybody to ready up, wait through a loading screen, then get downed and hooked twice, then repeat the first three steps. That's fifteen to twenty minutes of wasted time. It's fine if it's not a big deal to you or if you enjoy farming, to each their own. But I'd rather just leave the lobby immediately and save some time and my add-ons.

I understand it totally, but I don’t run into farmers that often tbh. There were like 3 Huntresses in the past few weeks that wanted their challenges done but other than that I don’t face them that often that I see it as a problem.

I see what you mean. Maybe I've just been having bad luck recently or maybe they're dailies, but I've been bumping into them more then I'd like too.

I hate farmers. Biggest waste of human life time.

I've tried adding survivors before. They never accept until after the trial is over.

At least you try to let them know tbh. I should really voice my appreciation more to killers who take the time to make sure the survivors are on board instead of just expecting them to be alright with it.

I didn't add them to inform them I wanted to farm because I generally don't farm, but the same principle applies.

I’m not even gonna lie...I have farmed a bit with Huntress because I’m terrible with her and since she has a new challenge out, I see it as my opportunity to farm for the “Skilled Huntress” trophy.

Usually I’ll message one survivor and they are more than willing to help me out, they are typically in a group. Some people catch onto what I’m doing during the round and we just farm.

I don’t farm often...actually I never farm unless the survivors initiate it and I’m in a good mood. But this opportunity with Huntress is too good to pass up.

Plus I’m sick and drained of sweaty matches.

I dunno, I think the bigger waste of time and add-ons is due to the matchmaking. I almost never see farming killers. What I see a lot of though is higher rank survivors put up against beginner killers, and many times the survivors walk away from those matches with fewer Bloodpoints than what they spent in add-ons and offerings, even though they escaped.

I guess the difference though is that at least those matches are quick: they're able to rush through the gens without seeing the killer at all and get out in like five minutes rather than farming for twenty minutes.

Oh man i want your luck!

Right now I'm stuck with some level 3 challenges and I could use a friendly killer!

Killers don't always play along, but pointing at a hook tends to be the gesture for "Please kill me so I can leave."

How else are they supposed to grow their crops before winter?

They already got all the corn on the farm maps, dammit!

You actually think the corn on those maps are edible?

I rarely get a killer that wants to farm and I'm not bothered at all to get easy points. As killer, I farmed some of the harder challenges that I was not able to do in normal gameplay. I tried to message the survivors before the match started, but some have messages blocked, some don't respond and there's also times where it's not possible to message everyone, because there is not enough time.

I already disabled messages from randoms on xbox because 90% of the time its people shouting at me calling me racist,Homophobic and other slurs. Sad that I have to do this so i can play a game without being yelled at for playing the way i want to play.

I'd rather farm than go vs just another "AFK (inster killer name)". I'm surprised that so many of them still aren't banned.

First time I got a "farm?" message I told him yes, then let the killer find me and he downed me and put on hook, then simply tunneld me out of the game. I asked him why after and he wrote "You believed me? lol"

After this everytime someone ask me to farm I just answer no thanks.
