Is it bannable for me to throw every match I play against Spirit?
I dont find the game fun against spirit. I just want the game over with. Is it bannable for me to just go to the basement and kill myself first hook?

Considering it's bannable if you constantly DC, and this probably would fall under Griefing since you're not participating in the game.

Even if you do that against every Spirit you're still playing better than 99% of red rank survivors so it should be fine.

It's not bannable but you're not doing yourself and your teammates a favor by killing yourself on first hook all the time against spirits

It could fall under griefing and unsportsmanlike behavior. Although, honestly, if you're a little subtle about, I doubt anyone could pick up on it.
I'd encourage you to not do it, but I also won't look down on you if you do.

I too dislike The Spirit and her so called MiNdGaMeS. Once you’re injured you are finished, doesn’t help that most of them run Stridor either, which counters iron will.

the game for the other 4 players no longer makes sense if you do that but you can do it ..

Just don’t be super obvious and I think everyone agrees it’s not bannable. Stay in a gen even as you hear her coming, maybe she’ll grab and hook you. Then try to escape 3 times and don’t struggle in second stage.
That being side WHY don’t you find it fun? Is it because she doesn’t obey the typical looping rules? If so I suggest practicing as BHVR seems to be set on releasing killers than can change the looping strategy a little bit I mean Slinger and Pyramid both have loop counters

on one hand, I understand because spirit is annoying to fight against (anyone who says she has mindgames doesn't understand what a mindgame is) on the other, kind of a jerk move since you're with 3 other people

Urban Evasion and Fixated help me alot against her, just manipulate paths and sneak around when she's phasing...usually run Spine Chill and Inner Stength along with as my main build. I guess I might be crazy, but I actually have fun messing with them...boop that booty😉

Yep, there is a great feeling when you lose a Spirit or a Nurse. I have played as spirit quite a bit so I think that helps knowing what you would do as a killer when you phase. I’m not saying everyone, but I think a lot of people who say their is no mind game have never played as spirit. If they did they would see it’s not all EZ 4K like they claim, and it would give them a better idea how to play against her too.

standing still is a mindgame...how exactly?
every other killer can fake their power or hide their red light, spirit can hid her red light sure but standing still doesn't classify as a mindgame, it classifies as standing perfectly still, not even using M2 to make you think she's phasing just standing still

You're assuming Spirit's power level is the issue. We all have at least one killer we can't stand to face. Most of the time their strength isn't the issue. I personally hate facing Legion and Plague. Not because they are strong. But because they're obnoxious to me and the matches are never enjoyable.
To the OP. No, it's not a ban worthy offense. But it is inconsiderate of your teammates. I suggest just playing super reckless against Spirit. Who knows, maybe playing with no ######### given will make it a fun match.

Most things in this game people report or claim to report others for isn’t bannable but sadly thy do it, I can’t imagine reading all the tickets they get lol.
That said though, it’s screwing your team over. It would be like going to play a pickup game of basketball and they after 2 points saying, “sorry that guy on the other team shoots too well it’s unfun, I quit.”

Both are slimy and ruin the game but most likely won’t be banned for. How do you really say someone “wasn’t trying?” If I run to the killer at the start and die I can just say I felt I wanted to get chased and practice looping.
If I stand afk while survivors do all 5 gens who’s to say I’m not trying to trap them with NOED, blood warden or rancor?
Again I think both are a waste of time but I don’t see how you prove anything to be banned for

Yep, people fail to take into account that 1 person killing themselves on first hook doesn’t just mean 1 kill... it also means the game had just become infinitely harder as a 3 vs 1
I’m not a great killer but You could put me against 3 really good SWF and I could beat them just based on the fact that once you get one hook it becomes a cycle one being hooked, one saving and one being chased that leaves almost no time for gens

I'm pretty sure it is banable cause your screwing over your team. If you quit every single time you face a killer you don't like how will you improve?
Answer. You won't and trust me. You will be quitting a lot at higher ranks where spirit is common.

First, I disagree about spirit being common at red ranks. I play for a few hours and see her maybe once a day and usually not even that. Red ranks eastern USA pc if it matters.
Even watching streamers from other regions I don’t see them playing as or against spirit more than any other killer.
Second it’s most certainly not bannable like I said above how do you prove someone did it on purpose and isn’t just cocky and bad.

Not really bannable, but you can get reported enough for it to warrant a ban. It falls under a few different reportable offenses.
If a killer sees you enough and realizes you do this they would probably slug you for the entire duration of the bleed out. I know a few people who can't stand Plague or Spirit and I'll just let them bleed out. It's just easier to play the game imho.

What do you gain by letting them bleed out as opposed to just getting the hook?
At least if you let them die on the hook they are gone...but leaving them to bleed out endangers other survivours that expose themselves trying to heal someone you know wont help them in return...😞

You say others don't understand what a mindgame is, but you are using the literal action to draw the line at what is or is not a mindgame.
Something is a mindgame when one player has to make a prediction, based on what they think the other player would predict they would do.
So in this case, the Spirit standing still is a mindgame because they are predicting that the Survivor is predicting that the Spirit is phasing. And if the Spirit actually IS phasing then it's the same deal but the other way around.
You might try and say that a mindgame requires some form of deception. However deception in the traditional sense doesn't really exist between known enemies in this case.
This is because all of the possible actions the other player could take as well as their motivations for taking each actions are known in advance to all players. So while you can deny information, you cannot give false information.
For example: In a red glow mindgame, while you can avoid showing the red glow by turning around. You cannot have a red glow appear anywhere other than where you are. Since the Survivor knows this, they can plan accordingly, and so long as they don't try to infer information the red glow doesn't actually provide (such as the direction the Killer is walking) they will never draw a false conclusion using the red glow no matter how well you mindgame.
They can still trip up, but that's because at some point they have to make a prediction due to insufficient information. Which is where you can win the mindgame by being unpredictable.
Broken down like this all mindgames are identical. They differ in execution of course but not in structure.
Each player has some amount of information that narrows down what each player can and cannot do
Each player has options in order to deal with any but not every option the other player can do
Each player will preform an action to counter what they think the other player will do
Someone ends up being right and "wins" the mindgame
The actual substance of the "action" is irrelevant. If it happens to mean standing perfectly still then so be it, the important part is the prediction.

Gives extra bloodpoints to both sides. Either by recovering or hitting. Also towards emblem which depending on rank them just hookciding the moment they find the killer can hurt the other 4 people playing.
If the survivor is doing this frequently it's better to make them wait instead of reque almost immediately after a hookcide. Make them realize this is unacceptable as it ruins 4 people's games. It also makes it more likely no one will bother will them through the match after the 3rd or 4th attempt. If you want to act like this take the penalty and DC.
Also finally if the survivor grows up and decides they want to play than they can.

If all they do is wait at the pallet you run away and gain distance, the only way they hit you by “just standing there,” is you actually vault into them. Quite frankly I haven’t vaulted into a spirit in a lonnnggg time I just run and force them to make a read and find me by scratches or grass.
