How can we keep No Mither secret from killer?
Aside from Meme builds or sabo teams built around it I think 99% of players agree no Mither is worse than having no Perk At all right?
The main weakness is the killer knows you have it, so they’re not just going to leave you on the ground to actually use the recovery option. The question is how could you keep it as is but not give The killer notification as soon as the game begins?

I would change it so, you only get perma broken when you get injured+ it doesnt show the broken symbol to anyone. This or you should gain more bloodpoints

By making them start the trial healthy and not having the broken symbol appear for the Killer in general. Also by making the iron will effect 100%.
So once you eventually do become injured you can't heal up again, but the Killer can't tell the difference between being unable to heal up again and you having the option to but choosing not to.

Due to the existence of new perks, a lack of blood trails is no longer a givaway we need to worry about.

Why hide it? Isn't it supposed to be a hard mode perk?

I dont have any problems with No MIther being obvious for the Killer. I see it as a different gamemode. AND it is an altruistic Perk, because you are putting yourself as a target so that your friends (aka other Survivors) are left alone by the Killer.
But what should be done - BP-Bonus, either 100% in Altruism and Boldness or a general BP-Bonus. And Noise Reduction by 100%, since someone with No MIther cannot go into chases that easily, Iron Will is a must. This would at least free a Perk Slot for something else like Tenacity or Unbreakable.

I really don't get why we need or want a hardmode perk.
Not healing isn't something you need a perk for. If you want a self imposed challenge around it then just refuse to let anyone heal you.
Heck if you don't like the starting healthy part, then if the Killer hits you just let him get the 2nd hit.
So it really doesn't allow you to preform any challenge that you can't already do with self imposed rules on a basekit Survivor. Thus we may as well treat it like it's an actual perk that's supposed to provide a tangible benefit at some point.

It does provide a benefit: infinite recovery from dying state.

Yeah I know. But the telegraph makes the effect useless. Hence the point of this thread.

Eh, you could make it so that they start the trial uninjured then, it'd be a nice perk tbh, but it wouldn't feel like my No Mither to me.

This, it is a hard mode perk but it’s hard mode for your entire team. Yes you draw attention, for one hit! Then the rest of the team has to give up what they’re doing to unhook you. At its most basic the killer had to get 12 hooks to kill everyone, that’s 24 M1 hits. As no Mither you take away 3 of those hits, meaning you make the killers job 12% easier. That isn’t hard mode for you it’s the whole team

Not quite. You need to earn 8 of those hits by healing, which doesn't always happen and cannot just be assumed.
So it really is 16 which then goes down to 15.

So then No Mither isn’t really that hard of mode since you start with the ability to get hit 4 times and it takes it down to 3

Which is why it best to run in with other perks. I normally run it with borrow time, tenacity, mettle of man and unbreakable. Other run it in a gen build of course.

Pretty much.

My initial thought was a BP bonus as was mentioned already, a general boost to gains like what Distressing or Thrill of the Hunt give Killers, but to a category like Boldness in particular or to BP gains in general.
Another thought would be to buff with more "partial perks". You anyway get a weaker version of Iron Will and Unbreakable (in the sense that the revival is normal speed), so how about weaker versions of Resilience for actions (lower %than actual resilience but still a bump up) or Mettle of Man (taking a Protection Hit offers a Luck based chance of not being put into Dying State) , or something like the old, non- obsession version of Decisive Strike (get a chance to escape if hit wiggle a certain amount).
The basic idea is to make the rewards worth the risk. Either with more bloodpoint gains or by adding more "mini-perks" to what's already there.

I see the bonus BP idea a lot and honestly I don’t like it. If they changed nothing else but made No Mither give extra blood points people would play it for their own benefit at the expense of the team. You would start having 1-2 teammates every game running it. The kill rate stats would go through the roof.

Just have No Mither apply a constant Exposed status effect rather than Broken.

I always thought No Mither should spawn in healthy and when damaged can't heal up. While the broken status appears on the survivors side I think it should only show the injured state for killers. Same with Deliverance, For the People.
Plagues Vomit should be an exception though as that's a legitimate killer power.

Honestly I think the injured noise reduction should be increased to 100%.
