What's wrong with rank 1's/reds?

I have been getting SO many rank 1 survivors in my games that just farm me? Like unhooking me in front of killers so I can get hooked again and then basically feeding me to them.
######### is going on? I always think it must be some newbie who doesn't know what they're doing, but it turns out to be someone red-ranked or even rank 1.

they probably watch swf gameplay of survivors that have ds bt and flashlights and thinks he can replicate it in soloQ

Doing gens is boring and the least rewarding action. Thats why. Give 10k bp for each generator, then it should change.

Many red rank players are actually new to the game (on both sides).
