Okay, devs NEED to make a pre-game report system
I let the first one go out of my stupidity because I didn't make the in-game report (I would have had to play with this type of person, I just had left.)
However, I made one for this attempt of being a proper human-being. (Had to die on a hook and depip, he still escaped with a key, unfortunately.)
If it's gonna be a remaining problem, it'll eventually turn into a blog series. Because I waste too much time on stuff like that. I don't have to play with these people to report them.

Man if getting upset over a few words I hate to say it, but your gonna have a rough time in life. Like everyone will suggest just close the chat tab if it bothers you or block them.

Bigotry shouldn't be tolerated.

How many people do you think say this stuff online, but not IRL? The number is probably substantially different. Also you should probably look at what he is saying. He's not saying what you think he is.

Oh, trust me, he's saying what he's saying.

So he didn't use the n word? My mistake.

Sorry, we do not tolerate racism in the household. 💖
I made a wrong thing that I spent my time reporting him? He didn't do anything wrong? Do you really think that writing this stuff online is somehow better than saying it in real life? You're ignorant.
And instead of being mad at a racist you're mad at me for calling someone out????

Look at the spelling there is a significant difference in what the TC is implying and what was actually said. Does it make it right? No, but there is a significant difference. If you don't actually understand why I would suggest googling the difference.
Try google mate.

Sounds like an irrelevant distinction that serves as a thinly-veiled (yet convenient) excuse for bigots to use the word while pretending they're not bigots. Same thing when they make racist and/or homophobic comments and pretend they're "just jokes".
Let's be adults and call a spade a spade here.

It's actually a substantial difference, but I personally don't care either way I just wanted to point it out. I hate the use of it, but I'm also not thin skinned enough to cry about every single thing like a lot of people are.

Bruh, he's referring to George Floyd's death. 💀
Do you mean that only the n-word with the hard "r" is inappropriate? So you can say it without "r" if you're white?

I think OP's going to have a splendid time in life. He/she reacts to something when it feels out of place and is actively trying to make a change. What a precious human <3. Maybe you should follow their lead instead of trying to normalize bigotry?

If we went by that then they should take out the current reporting system for post match and fire the mods.
There are systems for reporting for a reason it’s not about who p****d on your Cheerios this morning. This is a game and as with every other game it has rules. If you don’t like those rules (which are really just be a decent human being) then go ahead and go to those mediums which do allow you to say anything without any remorse.
Everybody knows these jerks will still exist and keep using those words. Doesn’t mean we want to hear them.

My opinion: Just remove all chat options, especially the post game chat. I just leave the game ASAP or hide it, because the majority of times, survivors get pretty toxic and i don't want to bother my mood with it.

That's not being thick-skinned, that's being thick-skulled. ❤️ Noone is whining here, I just pointed out that it's wrong to say things like that. There's a difference between ignoring the problem and silently taking care of it. I just made a comment that the game must have the feature to report beforehand, the screenshot is here to prove my point.

Yeah, I do one of two things if people use hate speech in my pre-game lobby:
- Leave - I dont play with people like that
- Stay, refuse to save them so they die, and report them in post-game lobby
That behavior should be zero tolerance, for sure.

I know solo players don't really communicate before the match but sometimes I need to ask for items/perks/offerings/certain actions. Removing the pre-game chat isn't good, however, I think it's ?okay? to remove the post-game chat. But some discussions there clear some things up, so I'm not sure about this one.

That's why I said just close the chat. Ain't nothing gonna change in the end. We all know it.
Same
I actually didn't even realize that honestly. Was just assuming you were misreading it and getting bent outta shape. That's an entirely different matter though.
Like I said google it.

The -er is racist, and the -a too, but depending on who you ask the -a could be seen as a term of endearment, depending on who says it to whom.
Personally, considering the -a is basically a descendent from -er, both are abhorrent. Changing a letter doesn't make it suddenly excuseable, and its regular, worrying use today does nothing to help racism. If anything, it probably makes it worse.

Google what? 🧚

No thanks, post game chat is fine as it is. Even the end game chat is, just turn it off if it's too much for you, but I do agree with op on implementing a report system post game

Whilst I appreciate it's frustrating, if you've not had chance to play the game - at least send the screenshots to Support to report these players. We should still be able to check their chat logs, even pre game.
