DLC Scream Paragraph Concept

Hi everyone! With the new Scream 5 movie coming out I did consider again if they’d potentially let DBD in on some of their fun content. I did have a bit of a “paragraph” concept that would basically help to finish out what many people have complained about not getting in the Ghostface Chapter and I just want feedback on the ideas presented here. So excited to share this with y’all! 😊

    SURVIVORS:

-Sidney Prescott: An empowered fighter, Sidney Prescott is able to get the better advantage of her killers through stealthy tactics.

Her personal perks, Gut InstinctsBetter Safe than Sorry, and Not in my Movie give her the ability to do what needs to be done for her team with little to no problems.

Difficulty: Easy (Based on only using her unique perks).

-Randy Meeks: A horror enthusiast, Randy Meeks is able to get a good reading of his surroundings to aid him in his fight against his killers.

His personal perks, Everybody’s a SuspectRules to Survive, and One Last Scare give him the ability to get the information he needs within his environment to secure the safety and success of his team.

Difficulty: Easy (Based on only using his unique perks).

    PERKS:

    -Sidney Prescott

    1. Gut Instincts: You can always sense an impending danger.                  When you are within 8/12/16 meters of another survivor when they are hooked by the killer for at least 10/8/6 seconds Gut Instincts receives a token. Whenever the killer would later attempt to read your aura, a token will be consumed and they will see not see the your aura. However, you will now see the killer’s aura for 3 seconds.  Gut Instincts has a maximum amount of 3 tokens per trial.                   Gut Instincts can be unlocked from the Bloodweb at Level 30+ or in the Shrine of Secrets.                                “Psychos can’t kill what they can’t find.”~Sidney Prescott
    2. Better Safe than Sorry: You always take the shot to make sure they won’t come back to haunt you later.                               If you are within the killer’s terror radius while cleansing a dull or hex totem for at least 3 seconds Better Safe than Sorry activates. Once active, you can press the secondary action button to save your totem cleansing progress for only yourself for the next 10/15/20 seconds. After this, the totem cleansing progress will regress at 200%.                   Better Safe than Sorry has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds once used.                      Better Safe than Sorry can be unlocked from the Bloodweb at Level 35+ or in the Shrine of Secrets.       “Just in case.”~Sidney Prescott
    3.  Not in my Movie: You aren’t afraid to face a killer in an attempt to thwart them.            After repairing a generator while injured for at least 50 seconds, Not in my Movie activates. The next time you are chased by the killer for 50/40/30 seconds, Not in my Movie will instantly heal you from the injured state to the healthy state if you are not put into the dying state within the chase. If the killer ends the chase by leaving you or by putting you into the dying state before you can be healed, Not in my Movie deactivates until you repair another generator for at least 50 seconds. Not in my Movie deactivates completely once all generators are repaired.           Not in my Movie increases your chances of becoming the obsession.             Not in my Movie can be unlocked from the Bloodweb at Level 40+ or in the Shrine of Secrets.         "You forgot the first rule of remakes, Jill. Don't ######### with the original."~Sidney Prescott

    -Randy Meeks:

    1.  Everybody’s a Suspect: You know what clues to look for to save yourself and your friends from danger.                            When a survivor is hooked 48/44/40 meters away from you, only you can see the killer’s aura for 6 seconds when the killer is at least 16 meters or more from the hooked survivor. Everybody’s a Suspect increases your chances of becoming the obsession.             Everybody’s a Suspect can be unlocked from the Bloodweb at Level 30+ or in the Shrine of Secrets.                         “EVERYBODY’S A SUSPECT!”~Randy Meeks
    2.  Rules to Survive: You know what you need to do to survive the horrors you have witnessed.                          When you unhook another survivor, Rules to Survive activates for 6/8/10 seconds. During this time, any generators currently being repaired are highlighted by a yellow aura, and any generators currently regressing are highlighted by a white aura.                                Rules to Survive can be unlocked at Level 35+ or in the Shrine of Secrets.            “There are certain RULES that one must abide by in order to successfully survive a horror movie.”~Randy Meeks
    3.  One Last Scare: You always expect that one last scare to happen shortly before the end of it all.                          After unhooking another Survivor after the start of the endgame collapse, One Last Scare activates for 4/5/6 seconds. During this time, if a hit from the killer would put you into the dying state, it will be ignored and you will be put into the deep wound state. You must mend before entering the exit gates or you will enter into the dying state and the killer will be notified of your location.  One Last Scare will only activate if you are in the injured state before the hooked survivor is unhooked.                               One Last Scare can be unlocked at Level 40+ or in the Shrine of Secrets.              “Careful. This is the moment when the supposedly dead killer comes back to life, for one last scare.”~Randy Meeks

    LORE:

-Sidney Prescott: Sidney has faced many foes with the ghostface mask prior. Some left her friends dead, others scarred. She had lost her mother and almost lost her father due to these masked killers. Their motives all led back to her mother’s decisions back when her mother was alive.

After her last encounter, Sidney needed a break. She went back to her old house from her high school days, strangely abandoned. She went to knock to see if she could enter but the door flew open ever so slightly. She called out to see if anyone was there, but received no answer. As Sidney approached the living room she glanced at a familiar picture of her and her mother shortly before the murder of her mother.

Suddenly she heard the door that had been open slam shut suddenly and she saw a familiar black garb skate across an adjacent hallway. Sidney panicked and raced to the door but it would not budge. Unbeknownst to her a black fog was rolling under the door and it was only after this that the door finally opened. Even though she knew she had only been in there for a few minutes everything was different. It was dark outside, much darker than before. Sidney also felt different inside, much younger almost than she had been when she had just entered the house mere minutes before. She looked around to see what was happening before a familiar face terrorized her with fear. Sidney then screamed. What did she just get herself into this time?

-Randy Meeks: As a fan of horror movies, Randy Meeks was immediately enticed by the murderous events that occurred in Woodsboro 1996 due to the actions of his best friends Billy Loomis and Stu Macher. After surviving this near-death experience, he went through it again at Windsor College.

During his second run in this murderous game of cat and mouse, Randy had started to see patterns from the killer when talking bad of Billy Loomis. Clues that had started to piece together who the new killer could be. As he talked more crap about his deceased former friend, he felt a hand grab him and pull him into a white van. Randy then saw the hooded figure stands him several times all over his body over and over again.

After the killer left the van, he regretted getting too close to the van, thinking it as a bad decision. As his vision started to blur and as he gave his last breath, he saw Gale finding his corpse and screaming. However, it was only a second before Randy suddenly felt better again. He sat up against a brick wall, and noticed no evidence of what had just occurred. As he looked around to take a look around his new but well-known environment, he heard a familiar scream echo through the air, and he knew what he had to do.

I don't wanna burst your bubble, because you obviously worked hard on this and I fully respect that, but Scream is already a chapter in DbD. Ghostface is a powerful stealth killer.

They can add a survivor to dlc.

As a Ghostface main, I really think that DLC needs a survivor.

Actually, Scream is a paragraph in Dead by Daylight. Chapters include a killer, a Survivor, and a map. All we got was a killer.

The problem here is that, to my knowledge, DBD only got the rights to the appearance of Ghostface, not any actual characters. That's why Ghostface is original other than the concept. No version looks like the look he comes with.

The mask is not part of a Scream license though, we pretty much only have the GhostFace that is not in any way related to the movies.

I know they have Ghostface 😂 I’m just curious on how y’all thought of the ideas for perks and lore and etc. that I have.

The scream content wasn't listed as a paragraph though. Trivially it was the only 'Chapter' that had a standalone killer because of the complications between the licensing of Fun World and Paramount Pictures.

Sadly, it was a "chapter". Only one with one killer, oddly. But still a chapter.

However, I think this means there is room left to complete the chapter if licensing is resolved.

It was still considered a chapter, despite missing those things.
