Do people actually use the Shrine of Secrets?
I'm curious as to how used the Shrine actually is. I find it quite useless being that I own every killer/survivor, so I could just level them up to get the teachables rather than waste Iridescent Shards on them in the Shrine. In my opinion, it's better to just save up the shards & use them for a full character rather than just their perks (if they even pop up in the Shrine that is). In general, I only see the shrine being useful to those who don't want to buy a particular license DLC. And trading in Iridescent Shards for a small amount of bloodpoints in the shrine is absolutely ridiculous. You should get a full million in exchange, cause it takes time to build up a good amount of shards while bloodpoints is so much easier to build up.

I have my fav killers and I don't use others. Leveling them takes so long so, I swipe their perks from shrine but lately, the options for sale have been #########.

You're looking at it from a really established/non-casual play standpoint. I would wager that a lot of people buy perks from the Shrine as they inevitably struggle to get up to speed. I know I did.

Well, I don't have any DLC killers or survivors atm. I plan to get some but until then, I use the Shrine to get some usefull perks, I think it was 3 weeks ago, Discordance was in the Shrine. If you own all killers and survivors, BPs can be usefull

Starting out I've used it to help a lot :D I got all of Laurie's and Feng's perks through it, so I dont have to buy them (I might buy Feng later if only cause she'll eventually be in a Rift, but licensed survivors will never get that). I'm going for the same with Quentin. I also got Ruin and PGTW back when I was starting out, and they helped A LOT when I was first learning Killer. I got all the Killers now, but unlike survivors Killers are unique w/o their teachables.
Would I use the Shrine in the future though? Only for Quentin's perks, then probably not- unless they make another licensed Survivor with three terrible/niche perks.

I just use it for bloodpoints when a new chapter releases. Thats an extra 600k over the 1 million cap for killer releases

It's a way for players who refuse to buy Auric Cells to get the perks from licensed characters. It would take a lot of time, but it gives the cheap players the option and doesn't force them to spend more money

I use it for perks. I own clown, after playing him i realised how awful he is and i do not want to invest blood points in to him to be wasted. Therefore shrine makes life easy for me. I'm not mad on cosmetics so shards don't go to waste.

I use it for BP or if there's a perk that I absolutely cannot wait to unlock and need it right then and there.

I only use it for extra BP. The only perk I actually got from the shrine is Hex: Ruin. But then again, I play this game everyday, hence I have unlocked all my characters' perks through their bloodwebs.

Firstly, I get every character, so if I want Teachables, I level them.
Secondly, I prefer to save up Iridescent Shards so I can pay for cosmetics on Wraith without using money, unless it's an Auric Cells one.
And finally, the ratio from Iridescent Shards to Bloodpoints is waaayyy too small, I'm way better off just playing a few matches with Barbecue & Chili.
Long story short: Not me.

Not everyone wants to throw 100€ in a repetetive game just to make it little more interesting, survivors are almost pointless if you grab for example all teachables for Ace boom you don't have to buy ace since you now can unlock all perks on other survivors and I belive the killer with ace is purchaseable through grinding.

I'm glad, I have all perks from the dlcs I don't have. If I have some left, I use them for cosmetics

I've got all the perks, but when I started I definitely did use it a lot. I think it's such a neat feature of the game and at the time, I'd look forward to what was going to be offered in the following week.

Freddy and Quentin aren't on nintendo switch so I'm using the shrine to get their perks; I've gotten bloodwarden and pharmacy so far. For other perks I tend to just level the characters up, I'm not in a hurry to get all the perks. Slowly grinding is fine I have the time for it.

I have every teachable unlocked but I still use it because I find the bloodpoints helpful. No skins I want to unlock with shards, so I'm fine with spending them on perks for the points.

I use it to grab perks on characters I don't want to level up. Either because I don't play them and don't want to waste the BP on them. Or because I don't want to clutter my blood webs with some perks. I'm looking at you No Mither.

I typically use it to get survivor teachables since I dont care to lvl up abunch of survivors since theyre all just skins. Killers I always end up lvling up anyway, so no need for the shrine for killer perks.
Its also nice to dump abunch of shards for BPs during PTBs

Just got nurse calling for my girlfriend because her main isnhuntress and no time to level up the others really. She’s managed to get BBQ from the shrine as well so those were two lucky weeks!

Just bloodpijnts for me too, generally at the start of a new chapter to level the new killer ASAP! Then the next couple weeks to level other killers if I want to get his learnable perks in them.

I use the shrine to get perks from killers I don't have and don't want to buy. Admittedly that's only meyers. I would of bought him if I knew I'd end up buying every killer as the years went on but now I have all his perks I don't really want to spend the money on the killer alone even though he looks fun.
I also use it from time to time for quick BP's.

I used it for DS and soul survivor. I got DS early early on before i realized how much i hated it. Either way, lori is the only character i dont hve leveled to at least 40. And OoO is the only perk i dont have unlocked and never will.
I did buy some perks for blood points once. But thats it.

I bought everything while it was on sale, so I use it for extra BP. I feel like it's more wasteful for me to spend them on something I would eventually unlock anyway since I'm a bit of a completionist. When I first joined I did buy Head On though because I was impatient!

I used too when it first came out but the cost now imo is too high if you own the dlc as its quicker and cheaper to lvl a char up to lvl 40.
I just use the shards for cosmetics now as even the blood points you can get quicker by playing.

I use it for BP and that's it. The grind is still abhorrent so anything that can ease the pain I'll gladly use.

I've bought a few things. Mostly the meta survivor perks so I don't have to go leveling them all for no reason.
I bought Nurses' Calling back when I was really new. I think that's the only killer perk I ever bought, since I'm just going to level them all anyway. (Even if I don't really want some of those nasty perks in my bloodweb...)

I've been looking for nightmare on Elm Street perks. On Switch the DLC is unreleased. I've only foing a Quentin one so far.
Otherwise I just use it for Bp if I'm needing some.

I use it to get bps. It takes me longer to farm 650k bps than to earn 10 dollars for a new chapter. So from an efficiency sakes that makes the most sense for me

I do. Since I don't have Michael I was able to get PWYF and STBFL from it. All I want now is BBQ & Chili. I want to get Bubba, but since he is getting a rework, I would rather wait and see what they do to him.

You have every cosmetics you want? You used auric cells or shards on them?
I personally would just save them up, sometimes they drop 21k shards cosmetics which look very cool. I would rather use my shards than real money on it

I use it for perks. While it's hyper unreliable atleast it occasionally has a decent perk I don't have already. The selection seems to have actually improved the past 4 shrines which is good. When I started every shrine was hot garbage to the point I figured it was rigged to be useless intentionally. The complete 180 it pulled quality wise has been nice.

I dont use the SoS because I have everyone leveled to 50 and all teachables unlocked. I have my mains fully P3 all perks and am working on another killer as we speak. Shards take too long to get for the pitiful amount of bloodpoints. I can net the same amount of bloodpoints in a few games which shards take hours or days. So I just save up till I see cosmetics I like.

I use it for BP if I'm in a pinch and really need to level someone up but for the most part, I have all the teachable's I want.
But we also have to remember that there's a lot of people who simply do not have the time to play like some of us so the Shrine is definitely a saving grace to some.

I haven't so much as looked at the shrine since they added the shop. I buy all the DLC characters and just level them up for teachables, and I'd rather spend shards on cosmetics rather than BP. I can see it being helpful for new players, but I already have a full roster of level 50s.

I would recommend buying Myers, especially if you think he looks fun. I enjoy him & at least when you buy him you get something unique out of it (being his power & playstyle). It's not like buying a survivor where all you get technically is a skin. I will say Myers does feel a bit outdated in the current meta of the game, but still fun nonetheless.

I am never going to play nurse because i dont hate myself and i dont want to suffer playing that killer.

I don't use it, save my shards for cosmetics.
My brother uses the shrine. When he plays if he's playing as Trapper all BP earned only goes to Trapper, he won't spread it around to other killers. So if there's a teachable from the Nurse he doesn't play her often so he gets her teachable from the shrine instead of leveling her up with BP he earned playing the Trapper.
