What if we had survivor vs survivors perks? enjoyable+++

Competition to survive makes you betray others... sometimes...

Imagine you have 3 perks:

  • Betrayer (lv30): pointing at a surv hidden into a locker both inside the terror radius grants you 300/500/800 BPs
  • Thug (lv35): when behind a surv, after a hard skill check steal his/her item, with cooldown of 180/150/120 secs
  • Beaten up (lv40): once per match, press action when in front of surv, both trigger hard skill checks, the one that does better beats up the other (with animation of fights), the loser gets wounded or in dying state with a 2/3/5% of chances

wouldn't be this so cool and fun? DBD needs to innovate with disruptive ideas like this

DBD is not a chess match, doing whatever is at hand, even sandbagging seems fair to me

There's a reason why such perks don't exist but those that help other survivors do.

Haha. Of course such a concept of "traitor" perks doesnt sit well with people of the "survivors are a team" crowd. We already see how long teamswork lasts, until its two survs vulturing the hatch, waiting each for the other to die.

But you need conditions to make such perks fair. I'm not a fan of OP's propositions as they do not bring anything to the trial.

My own concept entailed a "traitor" similiar to the obsession mechanism. Eith such perks getting weaker for each traitor in a trial or not working against those. Traitors are only revealed after a treasonous perk is used.

Exhaustion perk example: You can "deadhard" yourself away from a wall or other survivors, if you do it againast a normal survivor, they flinch in place while giving yourself a short sprint bonus. If you're both traitors, you both flinch in place instead. (Flinched survivors will not receive protection bp)

Such perks need to be strong to bait other to use it, but weak in team play, and get crippled if miltiple people try to be traitors.

Also: killer shouldnt benefit too much from traitors nor should swf benefit from having a traitor.

Lol no, the greifing would be terrible. Realistically yes, survivors in the entities realm probably would do ######### like that. Up to and including outright murdering and hooking their teamates to try and get to the killers side and stop being a survivor. Game wise it's just stuff no one wants to deal with.

I think this is a Co-op game.. You can get more points by just helping either being toxic.

you guys dont wanna innovate/change anything... the separated game mode of "Traitor" proposed by @Raptorrotas is amazing

    But...why?

Aside from, "Haha, he died. Wait, now I'm dead too." trolling and memes, I don't see what this would add to the game.

Just suicide on the hook if you want to grief your team.

"If you don't want to add mechanism that completely destroy the game, it means you don't want to innovate."

This is seriously the most head-ass idea I've ever seen on this site. You aren't hurting your opponent in a race or something like that. You're tearing down your teammate and thereby screwing over the entire team, including yourself. It's like saying that in CoD you should be able to have a perk that turns on friendly fire. It doesn't make sense, it has no benefit whatsoever, it's just a waste of a perk, and most importantly, it's literally a mechanic designed to be a reportable offense.

This idea in no way fits in dbd, both gameplay-wise and mechanically. And you pretending like it makes any sense so you can intentionally screw over your team for a little power trip isn't fooling anyone lol.

Btw, i think there should be a mechanic that people who post ######### like this get auto-banned from the forum since they're clearly grievers and if you disagree it means you dont wanna innovate anything.

The concept of selfish survivor perks is good but the perks you listed are not. They are just too negative.

    Better:

Kleptomaniac. When being healed by another Survivor holding an item, increase their healing speed by X% and remove Y% charges of the held item per second.

Note that the held item does not have to be a medkit, it can be any item.

That's still probably too unfun but it has applications outside of just ruining another player's fun. For example you could search a chest, find something that is not a medkit and give it to someone healing you. The charges of the item would be drained but you would be healed faster.

The concept of selfish survivor is just 3 perks to innovate a bit, making DBD more interesting and competitive.

Likewise Sabotage, you simply add kind of minigames as innovation features:

1st perk is not too much pointing at a locker is widely done by famous streamers... Maybe it needs the killer to catch the surv in the locker to receive the BPs

2nd perk of stealing is super cool, not too toxic (can be countered if you don't give your back to others)

Last perk is balanced since it is once per match (it will relieve frustration against toxic survs to get what they deserve, "instant karma")

Selfish perks or traitor game modes will increase the fun and it won't affect the DBD soul

Generally I'd be against this as accidental sandbagging pisses me off. Your idea however is really interesting. Especially since items don't break when depleted.

Having this "survivor" as the betrayer would be a great plot twist innovation (TRIVIA: do you know his name and from which movie is he from?)
