Okay, I just feel bad for Lisa Garland at this point

The Entity saw potential, that's all. It's a depraved being, it doesn't care. I'm hoping we get James and maybe Henry/Eileen as well to really round out the Legendary skins.

I don't get why people want James. Really, Cheryl is a much more likable character in terms of being the protagonist. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that just because James is a bad person, I don't find his general personality suitable for this game and, in my opinion, it's not as appealing, not as charismatic. It doesn't mean that he's not an interesting character, but do you consider a man who is broken from the inside, depressed and rather suicidal (he tried turning his car into a subMARYne in one of the endings) to be a character in Dead by Daylight? To be honest, he'd probably become some kind of a killer filled with remorse. Other survivors share at least a strong will to live, I wouldn't say that James would have one after being trapped in the Entity's real. C'mon, the man couldn't handle his wife being ill... And imagine the mental damage he'd get after appearing in the fog. It wouldn't be the tasty feeling of despair, it'd just drive him insane completely.
That's why I'm HIGHLY confused about Lisa. What kind of potential the Entity sees in her? The girl C O L L A P S E D after realizing everything that happened to her, to the town. Both "physically" and mentally.
There would me no way the Entity would assume her as a good participant in the killing games. I can only assume that she DID have enough power to resist, to sustain purposeful existence EVEN after getting revenge in the Silent Hill good endings.
I just don't get it, her existence isn't fueled by revenge at this point, WHAT CAN IT BE? If Konami isn't planning to reveal some parts of characters' lore in the game, maybe Archives, I'll legitimately become really mad at this. Pyramid Head causes the same about of questions, so Silent Hill Archive book would be so on spot.

Dude, IDK, I'm not the devs. She's in the game on purpose, that's all we know, and every survivor in the game has potential. I still want James because he's my and many SH fans favorite protag, regardless of his suicidal nature.

It will probably be stated in the description of the Skin.

Licensed crossover characters like the shape, the nightmare or ash williams are not canon in dead by daylight, so lisa is just a skin, like the others that will be added later.
(Except og characters)

I just wanted a blond man as a survivor, and James was the perfect choice :(
Okay, we will have to wait until they introduce Tommy Jarvis😉

Well, that was the answer on the question if Silent Hill chapter lore was legit in the game...

I feel like an important part of DbD's lore is that it operates under the assumption of a multiverse.
It's not the Lisa Garland, but a version of Lisa Garland that the Entity has seen potential in and kidnapped.
Similar to how our Nancy and Steve went on an exploration of the Hawkins Lab and the Demogorgon was contained by the government and studied; despite that not being implied in the show.
Who knows what has happened to this Lisa, what she's gone through, and how she's gone through it.

This said, from a meta perspective I'm 90% sure she's just included to be a character from Silent Hill 1 (because I guess the devs couldn't get Harry or just don't think Harry is the COOLEST. DAD. EVER.)

HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!!?!?!
(but i think peanuts refers to heather mason and red pyramid thing, lisa garland will be a legendary skin, but only that, a skin.)

While this is never referenced or confirmed in any capacity I think Lisa may be similar to Angela. They are a part of the town and, for one reason or another, it won't let them go. I believe Laura from Silent Hill 2 may also be stuck in the same state but since she is innocent she wanders the fogworld unbothered by the creatures. The people Silent Hill chooses don't get to leave until it wants them to.

Very much what I think. The Entity exists in one of infinite Universes. Lisa Garland here would exist in that one universe where The Entity can grab her. In the vast majority of universes, her fate would have many differences.
Mind you, another thing to consider is (taking into account the multiverse theory) how many Entities are there? Basically, each of us plays the game as if it was one of many universes, and we cross paths with each other in mergers or the same. And each character could have many versions of themselves, or their alternative outfits could be different people entirely, which we assume is suchandsuch, hence why we see their names. Like if The Entity makes The Wraith see everyone as Azarov.
Basically, you own the universe you play, and that reality is unique to you.

"These are just multiple universes" explanation for this game = "The character is in coma" explanation for any game/movie/series. Both are lazy af

I don't think anyone will disagree with you; but it's part of the established lore and probably the best explanation for how characters from ongoing licenses can be in DbD too.

Exactly.
Although with regards to the Entity, she is an extradimensional creature: it's unlikely there are any other versions unless her origins are less cosmic and primordial than suggested by the Observer - since that would mean she originates from one of the infinite universes, rather than having always existed outside them.

Far from lazy, it actually creates the opportunity for more story telling and an infinite scope to work with. Certainly nothing like the "I'm in a coma" theory, which is now lazy because of its overuse.
It feels more lazy to just say "Here is Cheryl, and this happens to her, and that's it". No creativity. The multiverse theory is one of many theories people could consider, and probably does work within the confines of this game. Ultimately, it's whatever you make of it!

That may be true also! The observer is basing his views on what he has seen and researched, so it depends on whether he has access to every working within his constructed library, or likewise he may have certain types of information, based upon what he has constructed. His level of knowledge dictates to us what is known, and to find out more about where and how this information is created - and what allows it - would be fascinating!
I hope BHVR leaves room for the imagination, because as it stands it creates some fun ideas and discussions!

The creativity comes from bending and surpassing standards. If you want surprise someone, they must have limited expectations. You can't surprise anyone with anything when they expect everything. The multi-universe thing you're describing is lazy because it allows to do anything with the plot. You're not thinking how to surpass any limits because you don't have ones, you just do whatever you want by making the "it's a parallel universe" excuse.

i dont know, maybe the entity takes her after she turns into a "bloody lisa" or evil nurse? asking harry for help, after that, harry closes the door trying to contain her,she cries etc. maybe that's the moment when the entity appears from the shadows (darkness) and kidnaps her?
also,i kinda believe that she works in the Dbd universe,i mean, the moment she realized that she was "the same as the others",she didn't want to transform into one of them( she was scared of becoming one of them),she wanted to escape of the town, with Harry and cheryl.so it makes sense that she is in her "normal" form in the dbd universe, not very well explained but,oh well, xd

It's very possible to have limits in a parallel universe theory, as each universe has its own limits that must be adhered too, and in terms of this itself everyone plays this game with their own reality, so your version of reality would be different from mine and from everyone else.
With any narrative, someone can bend it to their will and within that create any laws they like, in so far as their creativity allows. To have a limited number of options just feels too easy to me, and would reduce any surprise factor.
With regards to surprises, a narrative with limited options drastically reduces opportunity, making the amount of surprises smaller and therefore less surprising. Opening up options allows as much creativity required, and yet still confined within the universe you have. No matter how much you'd expect "everything", it's still restricted. It always will be.
Finally, having a creature that can reach into different dimensions and realities in itself causes restrictions, as ultimately once people are there, they adhere to The Entity's will. Again, there are restrictions.
The more restricted a universe is made, the fewer opportunities there are. Therefore, it becomes more predictable. Laziness plays no part in creativity.
