One flaw this game seems to have it's teaching newer players how some things can work, only the minimum bare bones. I've watch streamers play this a lot and when i started myself there's still a lot of things i picked up yet never knew about. So post away I'll make a list of some of what i learned.
- Gens (indoors) Look for lights flickering on/off that indicates there's a gen in that house/room.
- Killer objects with a white aura can been seen regardless if you have the blindness debuff. (Plagues fountains, Pigs boxes, PH cages, etc)
- As any survivor if you see the Obsession icon light up and the bones are moving that means the killer is chasing that person.
- Wraith - Can just point a flashlight at him to decloak and stun him if he's invisible. Also there's a audio que when he completes going invisible.
- Hag - You can burn her traps with a light to remove them and walk over them w/o setting them off if crouching.
- Pig(?) - Each of her traps are tied to a certain box. So if you see someone taking their helmet off at a box that means that box does not have the key to take your RBT off that your wearing.
- Spirit - When she uses her power a audio cue will sound if she's within X meters. Other than that she has no counter play other than mind games and i absolutely hate her and wished BVHR could just delete her.
- Plague - if she has the red vomit/corruption and if your able to pallet stun her she loses her red power.
- Demogorgon - Holding M2 and if any survivors are near an active portal a beacon will alert you where they are similar to legions power. Took me weeks of playing gorgon before i learned this that text explaining his power doesn't really say it or was just super confusing to me.
- Pyramid Head - Landing a pallet stun on him there's a very small chance you'll hear a "bong" sound like a bell instead of the usual stun audio...... ok that one isn't true, but be hilarious if it was.
Edit: The pig tip probably not true.

Wraith's tip isn't quite accurate, as the noise plays on successful cloaks AND uncloaks.

...Within a certain radius.
I'm also fairly certain the Pig thing isn't accurate.

40 meters.

I believe Orion is right. I recall being trapped multiple times yet using the same box.
As for personal tips, crows are extremely good for tracking that people for some reason don't use often.

Right?
My brain quickly learned the difference between the noises of ambience Crows & Crows scared away by Survivors.
It makes finding people a lot easier at times thanks to headphones.

Leatherface is more afraid of survivors than survivors are of him

I think the pig thing is, I can't remember who but someone did look into it and found it's not rng based but there's a key to every box, unless you mean in another way

For doctor, if someone has bt and you hit them so they have to mend, try and get them into madness tier 3. They'll bave to snap out of tier 3 before they can mend but they have to stand still to snap out which means the mend timer will continue to count down which can catch some survivors out.

On stages like The Game or Hawkins Lab you can also find gens based on the sliding doors. If one of those doors is closed, there's an incomplete gen near it.

When the match starts each traps key is placed in a specific box, but that 1 box can contain multiple keys. So what the op said isnt correct according to the stuff ive seen anyway.
They really need to look into this. Ive seen people working on gens with activated traps without a care in the world and still get the trqps off.

Oh okay I didn't know that part. I agree though I think they need to make some sort of adjustment to improve pigs traps, I don't think a pig should ever have to worry about someone who has an activated trap on but there's so little lethality to them without good addons that that's not the case

The keys are placed in boxes at the same time as the traps are placed on survivors, not when the trial starts.

Yeah theyre virtually worthless. Virtually. Sometimes luck is on your side

Either way. What difference does that make? 1 box can still have multiple keys

Shred does not work on elevations (like hills), so don't attempt to make cool plays on hills, you will just waste distance

Pig traps make survivors waste time, often making them choose to run around injured, to go do a task that causes them to make even more noises. It's not a reliable killing tool, but if you don't mind the incoming salt it's a good way to tunnel somebody.

For Pig - my friend and I faced a Pig recently and we both took our party hats off at the same box. Also, I took my hat off twice at separate boxes.
For Spirit - I believe the whooshing noise is based on 24 meters from the husk. This is actually why I run M&A. There was a long running misinformation that it was based on her terror radius but I think that’s debunked.

Oh, i forgot to give my own tip.
Wraith - They didn't give the start of the ringing animation a rattle noise for nothing, it's so you can fake a hit.
Fantastic for baiting out Pallet drops & Dead Hards, especially if you mix it up with actually hitting instead of always first doing a fake.

I'm certain I heard it from Scorpionz twitch stream, hard to confirm without a lot of testing, her power just RNG honestly idk if it's true or not myself.

Stealth killers - even if they don't have terror radius you can hear their footsteps and breathing. Wraiths breathing is wicked loud and hard to miss.
Trapper - Survivors expect traps in doorways/windows. Place traps around corners they hug when sneaking/looping, you'll catch more.
Myers - If you get a tier 3 Myers you can avoid his grab mori by hopping in a locker - useful if you haven't been hung yet.
Oni - even though you can't see the blood orbs Oni still can and will find you with them if you're injured.
Legion - with Feral Frenzy can see Survivors heartbeat in lockers.
