Personally, I trashtalk like I just got out of a COD match, watching them squirm is extremely satisfying to me in a strange way, once I feel like I've whittled down any form of self confidence they have, I kick em

    fair enough, I just enjoy trashtalking, good way to let off steam, also, most of the cheaters I've met are REALLY sensitive to being called out, so trash talking them is the equivalent of punching them in the face, but with words and some creativity

    I just report/block them and move on. I don't even give them the time of day. They aren't worth the attention.

    If I feel like I face a cheater I start recording the match, in the endgame chat I call them out on the cheating and if they admit it the better for my footage and ofc ingame report them as well. Then either right after that game or some time later I go make additional report through DBD's official website describing the way they were cheating and adding the footage so they can have easier time banning them if they were really cheating.

    Well since this asks about any game... in Dark Souls 3 I used to just crash them. Cheating in DS3 could be done with anyone that has CE installed and when the cheaters became too much, I thought myself how to use CE and created something that makes their game and only their game crash.

    This wasn't too uncommon since there was a huge CE community that used it for some awesome stuff, but it sadly also could be used to crash normal players.

    But like I said, bad cheating wasn't the only thing that existed with CE,it was also possible to datamine and make custom stuff, including some awesome and pretty looking stuff, and many "cheated" to create light shows or even custom mini bosses, just intended to entertain others, it was interesting.

    This is obviously an exception though and in every other game I just ignore them and report, no need to give them attention.

    The same way I deal with trolls. It's a 3-step program:

    1. Report them via whatever system the game uses.
    2. Ignore them, meaning don't respond to their taunts in any way.
    3. Move on, meaning leave ASAP, without disconnecting, and get into a new lobby.

    Why should I continue to let them milk more points from me and play by their rules?

    Oh, that's right. Because there is no Concede option and I will be penalized, not them.

    I just go AFK in any other game. Once more people start doing it they get bored. No point in trying hard or feeding them. I used to cheat in one game for a month after an unfair ban and I know how boring it is when entire teams go AFK when they see your name lol
