miss old killers too?
talking vanilla old legion, nurse, freddy.
i miss all of them at equal value.
I'll start with freddy. Comparing old freddy to new freddy. I didn't realize how he could be fun. Now, i understand that old freddy mains loved him for a reason. This new freddy rework reminds me of mordekaiser's rework in lol. Make the character so much easier and give him some new, fun and strong powers so everybody plays him. He does retain some small things, but special things such as timing the transition flickers are gone. I know thought was put into new freddy, but it's not the same.
Since i mentioned vanilla. Nurse without the stupid power recharge was fun and strongest killer in the game. Now she's left to expert users. Some people may say that's fine, leave it to the best and devoted, but i disagree. I want to play the killer too at at least a 1 kill level. I should mention most players on platforms like mobile and console naturally have abandoned this killer. She was the hardest killer, now she's even harder with limits to the power.
Don't start me on legion. 2.7.0 was the shittiest patch ever for me. It's not about the tunnel vision, it's all about the ######### they gave him. I know he's getting speed buffs, but i don't care as long as he can do what has been showcased in the spotlight. Knowing this will never happen upsets me. For 2 reasons: Enjoying legion before 2.7.0, and regretting the purchase after 2.7.0. Since i mentioned lol. I would compare this rework to aatrox's rework. Literally nothing of old aatrox except drain-tanking and ult remains. They said old aatrox was too much of a statcheck champ, but then they would happily rework kayle so that she's still a big fat statcheck champion with buffs.
I didn't mention doctor because his rework is still very similar to his old power.
OFF topic because i mentioned league a lot and general discussions is explosive.

Ah yes, I remember the nerf to legion, I was so unbelievably mad because I used to main legion before the patch, it was just nerfs over nerfs over nerfs, I started playing legion regularly again when they gave him his speed and vaulting buffs
I miss Freddy too, people said he was weak because they did not know how to play him properly, the one he have now is just so unbearably boring to play. Its the exact opposite of legion, its just overwhelming the amount of things Freddy has in his current basekit and how easy it is to use them.
I have tried getting into nurse after her nerf, but she is so unbearable to play as, the devs need to acknowledge her bugs or she will stay broken forever.

I was taking...quite a long break from the game when Legion came out, so I can't comment on their original state - I will say the buff to their running and vaulting was very much appreciated though.
Old Freddy...I liked playing him, and he felt unique, but I don't think he'd be particularly viable with how optimized the game's gotten at this point. Could they have tweaked him instead of the total rework? Of course, but I also don't think his current iteration is bad per se. Granted I don't play him super often but all the same.
Old Nurse...this one's a sore spot for me. I could 4k as her before her nerf. I can 4k as her now. But the fact I'm doubly punished for blinking now makes it so damn unfun I stopped playing her, and she was my first true "main" as killer. Every time I try to play her seriously now I wind up being glad the game is over, and this is with me winning. That's not good design in my opinion. I have more fun doing a "nothing Nurse" where I'm perkless and powerless, just to see how well I do, than I do playing her properly now. Favorite comment I've gotten from that has to be: "I got hooked twice by a no blink Nurse. That's a depip for my soul."

I agree with both your comments. @Spannungsstoß The same here except I dropped legion again because I just can't bear it.
@LordRegal It's good to hear from a nurse main as I wasn't a nurse main myself before, although I have bought the heartless outfit for her because she just used to be so unique and fun. Now a "slight" tweak and she's full of bugs and unfun. I completely understand what you're saying. Also given how bhvr "slightly tweaks" killers I doubt they would fix or buff old Freddy. Shame, but it's done.

I miss old Nurse. As Killer and as Survivor. It was always fun to play against Nurses. Now nobody plays her.
