I just remembered that firecrackers were a thing, and it makes me sad that they're event/KYF-exclusive.

Which made me think, why ARE they exclusive to events? I think they should be like normal items with addons.

    Because they roughly serve the same purpose as flashlights... Yes, there are quite a few differences, but all in all, the results you are looking for with those items are the same (blinding the killer, maybe to save a teammate or simply to disorient them). I guess there's also the fact that they represent celebration, so it makes sense for those to only appear in the event. You can farm them during the event tho, and use them any time you want later on.

    Also, if memory serves, they can also blind you and your teammates, right? I bet if they were common, a bunch of unfavorable situations would happen more often.

    I don't mind them tbh. They're not strong or anything. The only issue I could see is that they would pollute the survivor bloodwebs even more and I acknowledge they're already bad as it is.
