Take the hook to counter pyramid head
Do everything to not get tormented, even if it means take a hit and go down, make him pick you up and hook you, give the others more time to work, make them save you from hook for BT (and DS if you are a rank 20 in reds)
Do not allow him to save time, even if the chase is quick, in the end he has to hook you, avoid torment at all cost, don't let him save time, and don't let him quickly kill you on death hook with his torment mori, always leave the loop he trapped, even if it means a hit.
Do everything you can

I mean, isn't all this kinda obvious after vs'ing him at least once? It's not really rocket science to figure out.

I know, but there's still really special players in dbd even in red sometimes, not taking any chances.

If he torments the ground when you’re running a loop and you choose to go down instead you’re doing killers a favour keep it up 😂

yes but you don'T make him save time by sending you into the cage, he waste time hooking you, and you can use unhook perks, while you can't with the cage.

Thats literally just robbing him of his unique power in favor of just going down faster than you normally would. Abandoning loops or running into dead zones just to avoid torment will only kill you faster.

yeah its been working great for the survivors i've faced. crouching mid chase only to get hit and tormented anyway

Doesnt everyone lose all their torment when someone is freed from a cage?
Also, killers have hook perks also. Going down quick and allowing killer to hook just means they get BBQ or pop or myc. If the strategy is to throw yourself at him, why would he not just keep bringing normal meta perks?

This is good advice, i just took someone from 1st hook to death in about 30 secs because of her running into trail immediately

This reminds me of people who say not to cleanse ever vs Plague.
Because apparently giving the killer NOED literally the entire match + noisy, stinky survivors is a good idea vs cleansing and simply going immersed once she ingests corruption. (It only lasts a limited time + getting hit by a pallet instantly ends it)
But no, people would rather deal with being one-shot the whole game + 4 stacks of Thanataphobia and Blood Echo (meaning exhaustion after each hook).
