the new map

What are your thoughts?

As a survivor (with orientation like a brick): it is very hard to navigate. The two levels are difficult (only one way up as far as I can tell) and the closed breakable doors/walls and long hallways and rooms really don't leave much choice in where to go.. especially hard against Killers kike Pyramid head, doctor, plague etc.

I like the aesthetics and details, it's a beautiful map (though I wish they chose the prison or theme park instead, since we already got a school map). Still, I'm not really into the harsh limits it presents to movement.

People have to remember that it's hard to navigate as killer. It's almost game destroying wasting time to find stairs as a killer

There are three or four ways up, the breakable walls are in a really good position that can save or kill you, i think this map was very creative especially in comparison with the New Killer (His power is so weak IMO, i cant imagine someone playing with him after a few weeks) Also i played only two games before the back of the connection issue.

I really believe this map is somewhat a wreck. For killer it's difficult to follow blood trails at times cause blood is everywhere on the floor is some places, 2 floors is a pain and navigating up and around them feels a little bleh. Over to survivor side i have noticed an increase in unsafe pallets, a few areas where you get kind of pinned between killer and a dead end completely, also there's a problem i feel that needs addressed with breakable walls in certain spots with rooms that have hooks as if you don't break it as killer and stand in the 1 single exit from the room you're kind of stuck as survivor. It gets especially awful with that during egc if someone save you from there the killer can get an easy 2 kills by standing there which ruins the fun altogether.

That's what I imagined... Must be annoying as Killer aswell.

I agree the map is beautiful and it's fun to explore it, but it's so hard to navigate but I'm also sure that will come in time and we'll be used to it, it is a bit rng for survivors though depending on what walls the killer decides to break & some of the loops feel awful and also some rooms literally have nothing in them neither gen nor pallet which makes no sense

It's right up there with the laboratory as my most hated map. Gonna have to sacrifice my offering spot every match to make sure I don't get it.

There will always be ATLEAST two ways to go up the levels - which are the stairs.

every room has another room connected to it - each room has some form of an exit whether a hole in the wall, floor or a door and each connection will have ATLEAST one pallet (some singular rooms even have one two pallets).

You can sometimes find ways to go up or down a level in the rooms - sometimes you can find ruins that act as a platform to walk - I’ve even seen one in the end of the bathroom with it being “out” of the map.

I believe that basement can only spawn under the stairs- there’s always a trap on one of the stairs as it will deceivingly lead you to a 3rd floor - this will usually be a trap and you’re most likely going to get hit/downed.

so far I’ve seen one safe loop - it’s the double room with the little “office” bit where there’s a vault. It’s not always a safe loop but sometimes the door is blocked off which forces the killer to go back through the other room or to vault.

for the biggest part - there is no reason to be in the middle garden bit - two entrances on the bottom floor and multiple drops from the second floor which make it actually quite unsafe.

i think killers that will work best on this map are probably Myers, Deathslinger, Ghostface mainly because whilst there are quite a lot of obstacles in the classrooms - there isn’t always ways to hide from these killers as the vaults and etc always seem to be medium-small sized.

generally speaking - I don’t think this map is any-sided. Whoever has the best knowledge of this map will utilise it the best but the map is pretty confusing.

Eh, Oni will be fine since he doesn’t have collision - whereas someone like hillbilly might be weak on this map because there are multiple objects that can get in your way if you’re not careful - the hallways seem to be the only good thing going for him but most players won’t be spending their times in the hall ways lol

As an oni main I can't agree. All those corridors and sharp turns plus hard tracking will kill oni. You will know if you play him on it.

I’ve played against a lot of rank 1 Onis, and the only real issue will be some of the classrooms but generally speaking I can’t imagine why an Oni would try to run through those classrooms.

again - this isn’t really that much of an Oni issue, but a play style issue lol

I'd imagine they'd run through it if a survivors in there?

I love the aesthetic but it takes the worst elements of Hawkin's and The Game and combines them.
